good windows/computer/noob book

I'm looking to buy a book for someone who just learned the difference beween moving & copying files, and who doesn't realize that the icons on the desktop are shortcuts and not the actual program. My goal is that they get proficient enough in using a computer, that they don't have to ask me questions like "how do i back up my data".

I'm thinking windows xp for dummies. but is there a better book out there?

Not to be insulting, but how about finding some evening classes at the local comunity center, or through a junior college?

PCs for dummies works and windows for dummies. They really are pretty good books for someone that knows nothing

Its been my experience that a great book is usually better than an average instructor (after all the instructor is probably just following his or someone else's book).
And the book is a much much cheaper. If a book doesn't do the trick, then I'll look into classes that are offered.
