Free One Touch Hard Drive Backup Software?

Kind of like the maxtor one, does anyone make one for free to use on any external hard drive? I just want a program where when I back up my stuff like every day, it only backs up what is not already on the system, although I do want it to overwrite smaller word documents like if I worked on the same document and just made it bigger, I'd want it to replace files that are not the same size as previous backup even if same file name.

thanks for any suggestions..

That's a pretty basic backup program. Windows vista comes with a backup program that I believe you can setup to run daily and I believe that after the first full backup is completed it will only update files that are added and files that are changed. Doing so makes that backup process much faster.

If you want to backup multiple machines whether PC or Mac then you should look into getting the new HP MediaSmart Windows Home Server, it's very cool. It does everything and it priced about the same as NAS (Network Attached Storage) Device but does way way more.

search by hitting the start button and typing in backup and the backup and restore center will show up in the list
