Anyone else got it? It's pretty suite! This is the new look of Facebook that's coming. Here's what mine looks like

I've only got one other friend that has it, not even Warren or Jefford have it. You have to be a member of the beta in order to see another beta members Timeline, so no one can see my timeline and I can't see their's unless they join the beta.
To get access to the Timeline beta follow the steps in this article

you have to click on the thumbnails to get the instructions for each step.

Here they are:
~Cheers~
First, head up to the search field of your Facebook page and search for "developer." You should be given a list of apps. The top one that signifies that it's made by Facebook should be the one you want.
After giving the app permission, you'll be directed to the Facebook developer page. Click on Apps in the top menu bar.
You'll be presented with a page to "Create new App" button in the top right hand corner. Click on that. Give the app a name and namespace. Note: The name space must be at least seven letters long and all lowercase. Agree to the Platform Privacy Policy.
You're now on your apps main page. In the left column, click on Open Graph. In the "People can" area add one of the following: Watch, Plan, read, review. In the next area, you'll be presented with a drop down of relevant choices. Choose one and hit "Get Started."
Wait a few minutes, head to your Facebook homepage and you should see your invitation to the new Facebook Timeline Beta.

I don't think it looks bad. It is different, but I think it's a positive step forward.
They've been doing a lot of larger pictures lately, which reminds me of why Gawker did their redesign, but I think this is better executed than Gawker's change.

I'm the only one of my friends that have it now.
I like the cover idea, it lets you customize your page a bit without looking too messy (see: old myspace). The two column thing looks a bit cluttered, but over all I like it.

I don't have it but I'm not a fan of the two column thing. Maybe it just takes some getting used to, but then again I rarely get on FB so whatever

Oh and I also recognized the hotel! My extended family has a vacation house a few miles away that we stay at
Well over the next few weeks they will be rolling out the timeline thing to people's profiles. You have 7 days to change it but once the 7 days is up you are stuck with it for good. Should I be scared?
I set mine up and made it live last night. It's not bad
. The toughest part was deciding what to put as my cover picture.
There were posts from college 8 years ago that I had to delete from friends when we would post random stupid shit on each other's walls. A couple of them I had to delete contained 'likes' and 'gay' and 'cock'. I'm sure my friends will have to clean their profile comments up too lol.

How do I get rid of seeing all of my friends likes in my newsfeed? I don't want to block their posts (unfollow) but the likes are really starting to piss me off. Some people must like 10 things a day and I see them all.
That doesn't work. There's a group I follow, I hate having to see ALL the posts but at the same time I don't want to unfollow them either I have clicked on the "see less" tab several times, and it has done nothing
And I've done that to people too, didn't make any difference so I usually just hide their statuses or unfriend them

from what I've gathered, if you "like" something that was public to begin with, you can't hide it, your friends can see it. So, for example, this happened to me a few months ago, when a friend of mine shared publicly a link about another (female) teacher-with-student sex scandal, I like'd and my wife saw it on her FB
Because that link was shared publicly, there's nothing I can do to hide my "like". But suppose my friend had shared it privately with me or privately with his friends, then I guess that's not technically public, so perhaps my wife wouldn't have seen it

i never like anything that has the "globe" icon.
only "shared with friends"
and even then, i try not to "like" things
FB isnt a fun social network to "like" things as people tend to get mad at your opinions.
STOP JUDGING ME!

I can't do it at work since FB is blocked and I can't do through the app. It has to be on the desktop. If I can later, I'll check. There are plenty of people who I don't see their Likes so not sure.
