F#$@# Logitech...
F#$@# Logitech...
For the past year or so I had a great Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo, the MX Duo. It's awesome for games, it has a completely lag-less and very accurate mouse, the MX700.
So recently I decided to treat myself, and upgrade to the Logitech diNovo Media Desktop. It looks amazing, got great reviews, and it basically supposed to be an upgraded version of the MX Duo, and uses Bluetooth so it has better range.

This new keyboard I got is MUCHO expensive so I decided to get it on eBaY, it's brand new but the price was real cheap. The keyboard arrived, and I stared playing around with it, and sold my old MX Duo to my brother who just bought a new system.
Soon it became apparent that this "upgrade" carried a hidden price... turns out this fucking bluetooth mouse isn't as accurate as the MX 700. After hours and hours of surfing I read that some people find that it lags in games, which is exactly what I'm seeing. It's usable, but it really annoys the hell out of me. It basically feels like choppy framerate where there was no such thing with my old mouse.
So I can't really return this thing, I'd have to pay for shipping and then I'd have to buy another mouse/keyboard. Couple that with the fact that Logitech support are complete RETARDS, they don't even read the emails they're replying to, they just give you canned replies. The people on the phones are no better, they've never seen the products they support and they claim the thing has plugs that don't actually exist. I spent hours trying different drivers, turning off various potential sources of interference, trying different surfaces... even tried to see if Best Buy would take it as a return.
Also I actually like the design of the keyboard itself, it looks really cool, and the Bluetooth means that I can use it in a different room. But for games, the mouse really sucks. So now I'm looking at getting an MX1000 mouse, which is also really expensive. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, I hate wasting money like that.
If you play games, don't buy this keyboard. It's not as whiz-bang as it appears to be.
I wish the reviews were clear about that.

I have the MX1000. All I can say is ... FUCKIN AWESOME. I mostly play FPS games. Playing Battlefield Vietnam, going from optical Microsoft to the MX1000, was like night and day. It's so much more accurate and smooth. Highly recommended.

I did read reviews of it and none said the mouse isn't good for games. And if you heard what their support people told me you'd curse them too.
The keyboard IS very pretty, that's its saving grace... I'm trying to see if I can get a good deal on the MX 1000 using Staples price-matching policy.

for spending 200 bucks on a mouse and keyboard.
