whatever you do, try to get an unlocked phone. That way, you have the option of going to any carrier you wish.

 

Depends on your carrier. I have Sprint, so the Sanyo 4920 is for me. No-nonsense camera, radio, BS crap that I don't need. 5 hours of proven talk time, 4 days or more standby, and the best signal reception I've ever gotten out of a phone.

and get the motorola A630....i love mine and its addicting

I read in one of his post that you can't have the same #. It's important that I keep the same one.

 

You should be able to port your # with any carrier.
I use Cingular with Moto v551 - good, clear reception with 4 days of average (for me) use between charges.

 

you going to migrate over to cingular service? V551 is a good phone, sony ericcson just came out with a Z500 decent phone. what options are you looking for? Bluetooth, camera, video, microsoft windows for mobile?

 

I was thinkin' about coming over to Cingular.

I'll see what bimmer's talking about when he gets back. Maybe I can get a better deal with him.

As far as features, I'm not really picky. Clarity is a must and a decent baterry life.
