not sure about the 64 bit issue but give DeepBurner and CDBurnerPro a shot. Both free at Download.com.

I don't really understand the ISO business, I just want to burn a dvd. How do I compact the I guess ISO image down from 6..... whatever down to the 4.6 or 4.7 that I can put on a dvd. I usually use roxio but it won't let me burn a certain dvd... I have put cd burner pro on the computer, I copied but then when it says to input dvd with 6.7 free space, I only have 4.7 so it won't go any further......

Any help would be much appreciated....

Dual layer dvd, or you could try dvd shrink.

You can't put a 6.7gb iso on to an 4.7gb dvd. get a dual layer burner and a dual layer dvd. You can't compress and ISO and expect it to work in it's compressed form. Just like you have to uncompress files from a zip, rar, etc for them to work.

+1 dvdshrink (free) or dvd decrypter, dvdfab decrypter, etc. These programs allow you to "backup" your dvd and then burn it onto a blank DVD. Just make sure you select the output file to be converted to an ISO file. ISOs are basically images of the original content on an original CD/DVD. I use BurnAware burner to burn the ISO onto a DVD.

It can and will be done, I am just too busy with school to actually do all of the research and time testing to make sure it works. I know a couple people that do it but their programs don't work with vista. I just have too many classes at the moment...
