I actually just picked up the Moto Droid a couple of days ago. Talk about a cool f'in phone.

The Droid X was out the price range since I got mine for free on wirefly.com

Besides within a year or so I'll upgrade again to something nicer w/the same deal.

 

Have you gotten the Froyo update yet? People are saying they're getting them already. It should come in two parts. The first one started this week. The second Froyo update is coming on the 18th which adds Adobe Flash. Or you can manually install Adobe Flash once you get the update.

 

yes the bootloader is still locked, but really ,who cares,, custom ROMS mean nothing but battery drain and you phone probably came with a crappy UI to begin with and that's why youwould want to change it... not on the droid X.. it's a revamped version of MOTOBLUR and it's GOOD.,, on MyDroidWorld we're already on Froyo 2.3! leaked of course... overclocked the hell out of this thing, it's pretty much lightning.. Droid X FTW
