Donating cell phone = tax write off?
All you cell phone guys:
I was told that there are programs out there for turning in old cell phones and getting a charitable donation receipt to be used as a tax write off...
I know Verizon does this and I am told the Salvation Army does this too..
What is the max I can get for my phone, does make/model matter?

...I will be itemizing this year, between all my professional expenses, and loan payments, and whatnot - Itemizing outweighs the standard deduction

I just give my old phones to our local church.
They distribute them to seniors to use for 911 emergencies.
A phone doesn’t need an active plan to dial 911.
I never bothered to break down the actual value to use as a deductible.
But if you have even an ounce of honesty in you, I don’t think it should be more then like 25-bucks.
