Dell 20" LCD

Alright...I don't know where I saw this deal, but a while ago there was a Dell 20" for $999, they have actually taken $99 off now, and I got mine for $899....it came today, this thing is beautiful, it is replacing a Samsung SyncMAster 2100FP, I can take the loss of the inch because the picture on this thing is gorgeous. It's no Apple Cinema 23" but it is still sweet. I can post a link if you all are wondering where to get it, but if you look around Dell's site for monitors, you will see it.

I found it on ebay for 700ish i think when I saw it. The guy buys in bulk from Dell. Do a search on ebay for Dell 2000fp. He has good feedback. What resolution are you running? I am extremely interested in this monitor. Either this one or the 19" from dell. How is the quality of this monitor compared with a CRT?

$900 is a lot of coin for a screen. I'm looking at the 17" NEC for around $500.

Well, this one has VGA, DVI, S Video, and Compsite (RCA)

I run my destop at 1600x1200 like it suggests, any less doesn't look great, if you are gonna do pic editing or vids or anything, 5:4 is a bad ratio, and that is what 1280x1024 runs at, which is why I wated for this one...1600x1200 is 4:3 which is the correct ratio. 4:3 is closer to 8 1/2 x 11 in ratio than 5:4 is. This was an OK deal to me, since I was comparing with the Sony monitors, I wish I would have known about the e-bay deal.

If I run games at below 1600x1200 it looks fine, no granier than my old 21" CRT. That said I try and run games at 1600x1200 when the 9700 can handle em. Use this with a DVI card...all the way.
