Contract almost up
Contract almost up
So my contract is up in December..... I'm with Verizon... I will be upfront and admit I did not look this up, so I'll ask here.
If I still want to remain with Verizon after the contract is up, do I have to sign another one? Or after that I can pretty much cancel without any obligations?

No, it goes month to month, unless you resign for a new phone deal, or make wireless plan changes, what a Lot of people dont know is, Sprint lets you get new service and get month to month instead of a Contract
I dont know if Verizon lets you do that, but you would not get any rebates on Phones, Hence making them more expensive, but you would not be locked in a contract.

ps sprint blows
hey synth, as a fellow verizon guy whose contract expires this next month, you get a 100 coupon if you are coming off a two year contract good for a new phone purchase. Go to www.verizonwireless.com and you'll see what I mean. I think I'm gonna go for a v710. Wish the razr was available on verizon but it's not. I want bluetooth on my next phone, no questions.
You can always negotiate and extend your contract.
I've done this with cingular:
1350 minutes/month (850 subject to rollover), 7 pm Unlimited nights & weekends, Unlimited M2M, 2 lines, all for $70 per month (plus taxes). With insurance and all the taxes I pay $97.
