Computer help! URGENT!

Alright, I have a Toshiba External hard drive. It still has 190GB to be stored. I'm trying to move some movie files to the hard drive, but it's not working. The error said I don't have enough space. It's weird because if I combined all the movies and it's only about 20GB.

The file names are these.

MovieName*.2009.720p.BluRay.x264-SiNNERS
MovieName*.2007.Bluray.x264.720p.AC3-WAF

Help now! I have to leave to SF for a business trip, and this thing's keeping me here.

Perhaps the files are too large. Are they larger than 4GB?

You can convert the drive to NTFS
http://www.ntfs.com/quest3.htm
Replace C: with whatever drive letter the disk is using.

You want to convert your external drive. Not your local C: drive.

^ i know but then i opened "my computer", and the main local hard drive reads "I", not "C".

in fact, my external drive reads "C".. that's why i just assumed it's C..

You can get the label with a dir command
[E:\]dir
Volume in drive E is LEOPRIME-DATA
Volume Serial Number is FE04-319E

Directory of E:\
...

The label would be LEOPRIME-DATA for this example.

From what I've understood, you need to convert the file system of your external drive (assigned drive letter I) to NTFS in order to hold the 4GB+ files.

If you have no other files on your external drive, just reformat it and choose NTFS as the file system type. Otherwise you would run CONVERT I: /FS:NTFS

If you've converted your C drive to NTFS, hopefully it hasn't messed anything up. Your last error message makes me think your system doesn't boot anymore.

Next time hit up the PS3 forums for HD torrents.. there's a bunch of guys who either compress HD files under 4G's or break them up for FAT32 format.

Yes but his main drive is the I partition and his external drive was C. Usually it's the other way around
