Your thoughts and opinions? I can still change a few things but it will have to be soon. Basically just going to use it for normal browsing, some work, watching videos and other media, nothing to extensive.

Should be fine. See if you can get a 7200rpm drive.

If you will use it for gaming, you'll want a better video card.

If you can save some money by not going with a Lightscribe drive, do it. Lightscribe sucks hot ass.

No integrated wireless? Do you have a wireless card already?

You sure 14" is gonna be a big enough screen for you?

Format the thing and throw XP on it.

Won't really do much gaming on it.

Will do, I'll save 15 bucks on it.

It has a wireless card. WWAN is the Verizon broadband non sense.

Coming from a 17 its going to be smaller, however I wanted something smaller and lighter this time around.

Format the thing and throw XP on it.

I was thinking about it, However every time I reinstall an OS i always fuck up drivers or dont have half the programs I started with.
Thanks for your help Pete!

Find a friend to help you put XP on it. Any hardware around today will have drivers for XP. Just make sure you grab the ethernet drivers and put it on a CD or jumpdrive before you format. People make that mistake all the time. They end up having a laptop with no drivers that can't connect to the internet to get them.

Sorry about the WWAN. I don't know about Verizon's wireless crap.

If you're not gaming and you can find someone to put XP on it, you'll have a fast computer that should last you a long time. For regular internet browsing and word processing, that's a machine that won't go out of date for a long time.
