I’m actually interested in the OLED monitor that LG announced. But it’s going to cost a pretty penny.
should be great for HDR consumption.
Just sucks no 120hz and I’d be more worried about burn in since a PC display is way more static than a TV.
id love for a micro LED display but that’s probably another 3-4 years away. There aren’t even affordable TVs using that technology yet.

I recall Apple does have patents or something about that as well and there are long running rumors they plan to add it to the Apple Watch.
Wonder if this means will see that with the Series 7

Seems like a lot of people are looking for info about the GH6. Myself included
figure it’s a good time since Panasonic announced the GH5 back at CES 2017. Which coincidentally was Jan 4 2017.
also it was supposed to be released last year but was delayed.

Can't wait for Ryzen 7000/AM5 desktop CPUs to be out 2nd half this year. Too bad they didn't mention RDNA3 desktop GPUs....probably releasing toward year end I think....

Tempting. But going to need to see reviews about it and comparisons of QD-OLED with regular LG OLED panels.
1000-nits and true blacks must be
for HDR content.
also like it has 3-year warranty that covers burn-in

As much as I like OLED as a technlology...the burn-in is an inherent issue that I think still is a long way form being solved...because as a PC monitor...I would never use OLED....the tech is still very early and while Dell/Samsung is innovating to reduce that likelihood..I bet in 10 years we will hafve MUCH better solutions for cheaper.
Buit gonna be nice for those who can splurge for this thing.....gonna be at least $1500 maybe $2000.....
Doesn't OLED have latency issues still even with all settings turned off? I have to fuck with the setting when watching UHD's or else audio is off. It could be the audio components as well but I have heard of OLED lag caused by settings.

Holy shlt, the Alienware AW3423DW is going to be priced at $1300.
That is significantly cheaper than what everyone was anticipating. Everyone was thinking around 2K mainly due to their 55" oled being $4000 edit: Discounted now to $2500.
definitely want to see reviews for this.
Price of first Alienware QD-OLED monitor may surprise you

Also with OLED the pixel response time is incredibly fast at around 0.1ms where as LED monitors are at best right now 1ms
