I have good results with Nero in XP Pro too. Roxio E-Z CD Creator has finally released a version for XP but they were very slow to do so. That is why I now prefer Nero.

I'm having some problems trying to burn MP3's.

I was using Sony CD Extreme, but it wouldn't burn some MP3's I have. I would get an error that says:

FILE xxx.mp3 is not recognized as an acceptable audio file. A valid file is a Wave or an MP3 at 44.1 KHz, 16 bit, stereo, or a Microsoft WMA

What can I do to convert the MP3 to this format? The MP3 plays fine on my cpu. I downloaded Nero and it just skips these files - no warning or anything.

I use nero to burn iso's, and i use roxio to burn quick data and music cd's. They both work great but nero rocks and iso's, because you can burn images in sectors.

well, you can convert it to a wav first. if you go into winamp's preferences, then under plugins, choose 'output', you can select the 'nullsoft disk writer plugin' . You can then hit 'configure' and set up which directory where you want the wav to be spit out to.
Go back to winamp and then play the mp3 as you would normally do. It should create a wav out of that. Remember to reverse the steps and choose the 'waveOut' plugin when done. otherwise every mp3 u play from now on will be spit out to wav.

I'm sure any mp3 player worth its salt is capable of spitting out a wav file so just figure it'd be something similar if you're not using winamp.

I use:

- CDRWIN 3.8C for image-to-image copies

- Roxio EZCD Creator Pro 5.02 for compilations

- Clone CD 4.0 for "uncracked but still protected" images

- Padus DiskJuggler 3.5 strictly for DC titles

I used to use Easy CD Creator. However ever since I discovered NERO, I've never gone back again. Thanks to the people who recommend NERO!
