Bluetooth USB Adapter problem! Help!!!
Bluetooth USB Adapter problem! Help!!!
I just installed the software for Hawking Bluetooth USB Wireless Adapter on my laptop running on XP 2002, Service Pack 2. It shows in the Device Manager that the hardware is enabled and working properly.
However, the icon in the taskbar indicates that the device cannot be found. If I right click on the icon and press "Start Using Bluetooth", a window pops up with the message "Your Bluetooth Software license does not include use with this Bluetooth device". It searches for the license in the folder where the software was installed but there's nothing there.
What's wrong? I would really appreciate any comments/suggestions on how to fix this problem.
Thanks.

Sounds typical. It's the Christmas electronic bug. It doesn't matter if it is a tv, stereo, or pc, it seems to always show up on Christmas or your birthday.
Hard to tell what the problem is.
If you have internet access, I would first go to Hawking's web site. O yeah, guess you do...you're here. They're good about updating their drivers and have them available. I bet it's a conflict with service pack two and an updated driver will fix it.
I still haven't installed sp2 on any production pcs I have because of known issues.
Good Luck Sasha. Let me know how you make out. I'll chack back later. I have a house full of 40 people and they're going to drive me crazy... Except for my niece
