So it seems that the blackberry pearl is coming out for cingular in november anyways anyone have this phone. How good is the calling and how good is it as a smartphone? Does it have a good calendar and meeting management?

I think it's based on T-mobile having the pearl exclusively for 30-90 days...and since T-mobile's had it since September, it should be released on other carriers next month.

Rogers just got it last month I think.

Sounds about right that the pearl will be released to Cingular in November since it has to be released before the 8800. The Indigo 8800 (full qwerty pearl w/out camera) is supposed to be released Jan. '07 (I think Cingular gets this first), and the Crimsom 8800 (full qwerty pearl w/ camera) is supposed to be released sometime 2nd quarter 2007...the 8800 release times have been leaked from Blackberry, so it's probably accurate.

yup thats it, I saw a live one the blackberry rep had today at training. Its small and light. I like it

 

mine should be arriving this thursday.

i'll write a small comparison between that and the 7130c.

the trackball in place of a scroll wheel may take some getting used to, but hopefully not too muc to get used to.
