NERO FTW
I also have been using Nero since Nero 4 and no complaints
When my DVD's started getting fucked up it ended up being the burner...just tossed it and spent 30 bucks and got a new one.

Nero 7 premium here...great for creating dvd's and burning dvd's....and if you ask the right person you can probably get it for free...but you should be a good person and buy it.....

You have to have other burning software on your computer. It uses that

I use AnyDVD + CloneDVD2 by Slysoft. I'm more used to the interface and it hasn't given me any problems. The AnyDVD will simply run in the background of your computer to decode the DVD, and the CloneDVD software will do the actually burning. Though it cost $45, you get free updates for life

We're talking data here though not movies. I would not use the movie software for DVD data purposes.

Dvd Shrink is using nero to burn the dvd though. shrink just makes it fit on a single layer and removes the copy protection

DVDShrink isn't actually doing the burning. It uses Nero or DVD Decrypter in the last stage of the process.

I was using Nero 7 Ultra Edition. Since I install Windows Vista, I have not been able to use it. All sorts of error messages. When I try to uninstall it. It won't let me. I try to install the Update for Nero/Window Vista and it stops and won't let me do that. Seems Vista is a pain to say the least, Anyway when I have more time to work on it, I'll get a solution.
