Question Best Cases & Protective Film for iPhone 4?

Wondering your picks on the best cases for the iPhone 4 and any other protective film you'd recommend, if at all.

I am in the market too. Went to the mall and they were way to pricey. Looking for a reputable online site with a case that is not too bulky but protects the face of the phone.

I found an online vendor for a ZAGG InvisibleShield screen protector for my DroidX. They also make wraps that encompass the entire device in the armor wrap. Love it.

I notice some US product sites ask if you have iPhone 4 for Verizon or AT&T... What are the differences -- does it matter at all in terms of cases? Our iPhone look pretty much identical across all carriers, not even different branding or logos...

I just bought one from the ATT store and didnt get the name. It wasnt Invisishield or ZAGG, I may go to the mall and see what I got since I dont have the box. Ill let you know, its the best one I ever had so far. It is washable front and back, it removes and readds easily, etc

Incase Slider. Owned it for both my iPhones.

There is a difference between the two carriers because of the antenna. Buttons on the side I believe are slightly lower.

It's only a measurement of millimeters.

It is not a big difference for most case makers. I use a Mophie, there is no difference for it between AT&T and Verizon. Don't worry about film, they pretty much suck. The only one I would use if it wasn't for my case, iPhone and Ipad would be http://www.zagg.com. A little $$ but it VERY nice.

I use the Speck Candyshell.

http://www.speckproducts.com/iphone-...ver-black.html

I have dropped my phone several times on carpet and cement and the shell really works great. It doesn't have a film cover but instead has a tiny lip on the front that sticks out to prevent the phone getting damaged or the screen from getting scratched if you drop it on the ground. Has saved my ass a few times.

Also what I really like about the candyshell case is that it isn't rubbery, but rather smooth so you can easily slide it in your pocket or out of your pocket and doesn't stick to the fabric.

And the black and gray looks cool.

I have the Otterbox commuter for my Android and love it
It isn't quite as bulky as the defender but with just about the same level of protection.

the difference would be the sim card for the att iphone. on the side is a slot for the sim. if you get an att case, there will be a spot for that, verizon will not be a spot for it. Otterbox is the best out there, and I have a bodyguardz for my screen. just as good as zagg product, but less $$...

The sim card itself has nothing to do with the difference in cases. None of my cases and bumpers have any provision for the sim card.

Ended up ordering an Otterbox Defender case late this aft. Know someone who works with a lot of people in the construction business and a few of those workers have the iPhone + Defender and have said their phones have fallen from equipment a few times already and the phone hasn't had a scratch. If the phone can fall from the top of a bulldozer and still be okay, that's good enough review for me.

Thanks for all of the different leads....I checked them all out earlier in the day before making a final decision.

Otterbox Defender case is great! Got it today and it's definitely a heavy-duty, well-built case. It has a built-in screen protector that looks like it will serve me well.

I got these:

http://www.amazon.com/splash-Masque-...0443412&sr=1-5

They are awesome. All i wanted was something to protect the front screen and something for the back to protect it from scratches. I keep my phone in my front pocket so i didnt want to make it bigger than it already is so i skipped the case, even the thinnest one would still make it cumbersome, instead i use a screen protector for the front and on the back i use this thing below which just came in the mail today, so far i love it and it gives the back a texture similar to a moleskin leather notebook, its also thin and doesnt add to the width

Speck HD Pixelskin + Zagg Invisibleshield.

Zagg is not cheap but you get lifetime warranty. For $3.95 they will send you a replacement for life. I've replaced 1 so far (dust under the skin caused it to no longer stick.

Still really enjoying the Otterbox Defender case, but it does make the phone substantially bigger and thicker, so it's not ideal for anyone who values the iPhone's size as a pro. I won't usually be carrying the phone in my pocket, so it's not as big of a deal for me -- I was going more for protection. The built-in screen protector is great too -- problem-free and the touch screen is still just as sensitive and clear as if it wasn't there.

I just use the Apple Bumper case, no screen protectors. Been doing that for well over 6 months, only two or three VERY small scratches (1 millimeter or so). Phone has been dropped a few times, nothing broken.

I was considering the Otterbox for my BB Torch and Motorola Atrix but chose not to go with it because I didn't want to add too much bulk to the phone. Ended up leaving my Torch naked but put a screen protector (forgot what brand) on it. I also put a screen protector on the Atrix and have the Speck Candy Shell case, but really want to have the phone in a holster, and none will fit the phone with the case on it. I just ordered from Seidio a case together with a holster so I can use them together (Surface case). Will let you know how it fares.. www.seidioonline.com for anyone interested.

Otterbox makes different series of cases and some don't appear nearly as big as the one I got, but the "Defender" makes the phone a lot bulkier for sure. The Defender series also came with a holster (not sure about the other Ottberbox cases), but I don't use it.
