Since some of you seem to have connections in the cell phone 'biz', are there any substantiated rumors about Verizon getting the Blackberry 8700 anytime soon, or any future Blackberry for that matter?

Work has decided to stop supporting Treos, and if I want to keep free cell service and data/email (who wouldn't) I have to use a Verizon Blackberry. That's all they'll support, since we have a corp account with Verizon and they're getting paranoid about network security.

I hate both of VZ's current BB offerings. Basically is there a light at the end of the tunnel? If I hold out for a month or so, will they get better ones? I'm afraid if I switch now, I'll get an 'old' model BB and not be able to upgrade when the new ones do come out.

 

Word is Sept- December..but then again it is verizon, dont hold your breath
