There are plenty of Chinese Android phones and Motos that compete price-wise with the SE ($400 starting) but I think they're all around 5" but not full flagship size.
The closest in terms of size and specs to the SE is probably the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact.
Sony basically took the internals of the Z5 and crammed them into the smaller body of the Z5 Compact. That's what Apple did with the SE.... took the internals of the 6s and crammed them into the smaller body of the 5s.
Every other Android based phone I can think of that's close in specs to the SE has at least a 5" screen. There's definitely no 4" Android phone with specs close to the SE.
(Sony recently began rolling out Andriod 7.0 updates to their Z5 line)

.
I prefer a compact size, as I don't watch videos on phones. Iphone 6S Pluses, Galaxy S7s and phablets seem awkward and huge for carrying or dialing with one hand.

Exactly.
There are a couple of older Samsungs and some pre-paid phones that are smaller than the 5" screen phones, but they are older and don't have the speed and features of the newer iphone SE, Samsung S6, etc., which is why I'm iOS by default and not by choice.
6 Plus yeah is pretty big. S7 seems tiny although it's only a .3" difference. I'm so used to having Notes that 5.2" seems tinier. Honestly your hands adapt but to each their own.
FYI, and this probably has no bearing on the majority of you, but in the latest releases of iOS, Apple is by default encrypting the iTunes backups made by a handset. Previously, it was an option but it appears to be enabled by default in the latest iOS releases.

Forgot to mention, I've had airpods for a few weeks now. Yeah they look stupid, I don't really mind. It's really nice going on a jog and not hearing "thbpt thbpt thbpt" every time the cable hits me.
I probably have shitty reading comprehension, or I'm just dumb, but I always thought they were lacking in bass. I happened to put them in with the phallic extensions pointing straight downwards, and boom, much more bass.
I figured since they're also a Bluetooth headset, you would want to angle towards your face...
Had to wait five weeks for them to finally ship to me. Best fit of any Bluetooth headsets I've ever had. I have small ears and even rubber/foam earbuds hurt after a long time. With these, I feel asleep and my ears didn't really hurt when I woke up. The case is really cool too, battery life hasn't been a worry, at all.
Call quality is excellent too. I'm actually considering getting an Apple watch now, despite my dislike of square watch faces.

I'm used to the bundled Apple earbuds sounding like trash and feeling really uncomfortable after about 20 minutes or so, so I never even unwrapped them.
Gboard stopped working for quick reply when the screen is locked
I have to tap text on the stock keyboard like a peasant... anyone else with a third party keyboard have this issue? Can't tell if this is an iOS issue or with Google.
Updated to 10.3.1... you weren't kidding about the efficient use of space.. I gained 4GB of space after upgrading last night... went form 6GB free to 10!
