Thought I was gonna be screwed after I stopped at one store by me and there was a line to get inside and calling another just had me on hold so long I just hung up. My friend's brother works at a Verizon store and he had enough to go around so I ended up picking up my 128GB 7. Is it a huge breakthrough after my 6? No, but this thing is blazingly fast, there's plenty of small improvements that build upon how good the 6 was, and I'm happy to have a much better battery now since mine was spazzing out.

Got my 7 in yesterday. The home button will take some getting used to. It does seem to be a good bit faster than my 6+ and the smaller size is much better for me. Overall I'm happy with the new phone.

Btw, has anyone tested the water resistance yet? I don't want to be the guinea pig. Lol

I saw iFixIt left it in a fish tank for like 8 hours and the timer on the phone was still going. Apparently YouTube is the stomping ground for test videos with someone else pouring coffee into the glass it was in, and someone in Australia took it into the ocean even though Apple says to avoid salt water.

I would be weary of soaking the phone, especially if have a tendency to drop your devices. I would also wait and see how Apple/carriers handle warrantying phones that sustain water damage, because that will be inevitable.

I am still debating upgrading from my 6. Has anyone gone from the 6 to the 7,and noticed a big difference? I also heard a rumor that Apple is going to skip the 7S and just go straight to the 8 (who knows how much truth that has...)

I think what everyone said a couple pages back is right, that we shouldn't expect huge changes anymore, and just improvements in the phone itself.


I dropped my 6 in the water once and it was fine. I am sure your 7 will have no problem.

Ended up getting a black 128GB 7 Plus on launch day. I saw the Jet Black, it looks great, but the smudging drove me insane and I don't use a case so the scratches would get to me. Apple offered to get me a Jet Black one on Oct 3rd but I told them I didn't want it anymore. I thought it would get hard to get use to the Plus sized phone but I kind of like it. Loving this new phone so far.

I found an awesome new feature I didn't know about.

If you get a voicemail, and you highlight that voicemail...it attempts to give you a written transcription.

Not only is that an awesome feature, it happened at the perfect time as I was at lunch in a very noisy location where I couldn't hear the VM anyway.

I wonder how well that works, cause android has had it for a while now, but sometimes the transcription gets all messed up and ends up being comical

Went from 6 to 7. A lot faster with the new processor, camera is ever better, Touch ID is near instantaneous, and the stereo speakers sound pretty good for being on a phone.
