so i moved the mouse and tried to go to one of my hot corners and this happened

so if you restart after letting it cool down, what happens? Have you tried connecting an external monitor?

 

holy crap. Nvidia is going down so bad because of this shit...

 

when i connect a secondary monitor it automagically calibrates both screens to mirror, i get balck bars on top and bottom of the MBP screen and the other screen is full res, but blurry as dog shit in water.

when i restarted it went away but its still annacceptable.
its choppy when im watching videos (i edit videos so this blows)
and when im making music in logic and i open the sample editor while the song is playing the song stops playing because the display lags and slows the whole mac down

 

oh oh oh. i got another one. the other day i could actually see the concentrated LED beams from under my screen with dark spots in between them like there wasnt enough power coming from them. i had to restart again

 

Call Apple! That sucks big time..

 

they are gunna make me send back my mac, i will lose all my data and they will send me the same broken ass laptop. i will wait till they come with a public fix or a recall

 

go to the genius bar and make them fix it.

Actually the complete opposite is true.

You can tweak Vista, making it run much faster and reliable than "stock", in other words running almost as well as XP, but thats another story.

Video cards when they don't work simply need to be replaced.

This Saturday morning I was leading a room of about 100 new students through joining their their laptops to our Windows domain. When I showed them the God-awful way Vista makes you switch between domain and local logins, one of the students blurted out "You know, what exactly is the point of Vista?"

Myself and the other IT folks in the room just started laughing.

 

When I stare at that IMac screen, if I look "through" it and cross my eyes a bit, I see it, and I shit bricks...
