I've got the sanyo vm4500

The phone is great...but I don't know anyone else who has the walkie talkie so I havent used it. Sprints network is fantastic out in AZ, don't know about FL though.

I have full 4 bars everywhere I have been since I got the phone. AZ pretty much has good service anywhere, but yeah this phone picks up signals as good or better than any of the other phones I have had.

Internet stuff is pretty cool on it too.

I heard everything is on like a 5-10 second delay. Nextel is the OG...and the best!

Yes only the initial setup there's an initial delay.

After that, it's pretty much back and forth like Nextel.

Pretty good for a network that was NOT designed for PTT in the first place.

let me break it down for you, and i am sure ken will be with me on this...

nextel is a radio with a built in phone,

while verizon and sprint are phones with extra features with "ptt" in them...

that's the only thing nextel has going for them is ptt, once someone eles comes into the game and does it well enough nextel will be unheard of..

My i-730 work place all of my Verizon phone had no service. With Nextel....there is no roaming and the signal strength is amazing. And of course...the walkie talkie is great too. When I was in Vegas...I was PTT-ing my dad like he was in the next room and the friggin thing working in the middle of the desert where we went hiking.

you cant roam on nextel, because if you roam you dont get service! they own there own network!

I wont knock it..there ptt is the best out but like i said they are radio first phone second, opposed to the other companys
