I don't remember the links specifically, but I found three or four decent sites (including one that sold kits) while searching at AVSforum.com .

Can't you just build your own like anything else? You would just need a custom case.

its a Via M10k Epia with 256MB RAM.. 1Ghz... 40G HD... let me just give u some advice... if you are gonna go cheap on the system, that is fine... just make sure u do the screen right.. i went through two screens already because i tried to go the cheap way and ended up spending more money than the good one... go Xenarc or Lilliput... i paid 320 for my xenarc but i love it...

there are newer models now... M12K... if u want a good site to read mp3car.com, they also sell parts there... also go into the audio/video section and search carputer.. .there are a few of us acuras who have completed this project.. mine will be ongoing for a while... still need to get my DVD video working as well as GPS.. right now it is just an expensive MP3 player

another question is how does the computer sound card differ from front and rear speakers?

is it gonna make them sound like crap or is it going to sound decent?

depends which route u decide on the sound... if u have an amp, u can just split the onboard soundcard straight into the amp... i actually bought an external sounds card USB.. but decided on a different route...

i bought an auxillary input for my factory headunit and i have the sound going into there.. so i can use my factory HU as a controller and i keep my radio, tap and CD...
