This is def a long shot but are there any developers on here willing to add a fellow acurazine members UDID to their account?

Im really interested in trying out the new iOS beta.

Probably not. If it's so important than spend the $99 or whatever it costs and become a dev yourself and just write the cost off as a business expense....

 

just wait until the golden master comes out, usually you don't need your udid registered or a developer.

just need to the os and update via itunes.

its what I did with iOS 4 and nothing was changed between the golden master and the actual release version.

and op, if you don't know how to get the beta and run it on your iPhone by now without a dev account, you shouldn't even attempt it.. just saying.

FYI this UDID requirement is new with the iOS 5 beta. before anyone could run the beta but now with iOS 5 only certain iPhones that have been registered by a dev can. I'm not sure if it blocks during install or once it's up and running then it finds out and locks you out.

I wonder if Tiny Umbrella can fix the issue or maybe there's a JB hack for it. IDK never looked into it.

The only thing new I read about iOS 5 and UDID was apple not letter developers access the UDID API anymore..

 

^ basically they blocked verification server, so iTunes won't install it.

Having the right shs blob and starting a server using Tiny Umbrella can over come it, but I don't see a point of upgrading to beta as many people ended up reverting from it, some lost baseband. Just wait a few weeks for official release

 

 

I completely understand what you mean and it isn't difficult at all to get it updated and running but because my UDID isn't registered, my phone won't actually activate. Its my primary device and doing that trick will essentially render my phone an iPod touch. Ask me how i know

When I got my replacement phone, they sent it to me with 4.3.5 installed already and like an idiot I didn't back up my SHSH Blobs for 4.3.3. Boy was I mad about that.
