USC loses Top recruit to Florida.

Jacksonville native, and the #1 gaurd prospect in the country, James Wilson... has officially de-committed from the Trojans and instead will join fellow Nease high school alumni Tim Tebow with the National Champion Florida Gators.

Wilson (6 feet 4, 305 pounds) was a Times-Union Super 11 choice in the preseason and drew scholarship offers from other top programs, including Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State and Florida State. He visited UF over the weekend.

Wilson played guard for the Panthers and reached the Class 4A state title game in each of his last two seasons. He is rated the No. 1 offensive guard in the nation by rivals.com and is academically qualified for freshman eligibility.

Although... I do have respect for Rutgers... I think they have put together a nice program. However, they couldn't compete with Florida.

I just asked a question as I see it happening everyday.. That's why they're verbal commitments.. And I'd expect the National Champs to pull in the best recruits..

I assume he's converting from a OL to a DE

This is what happens when you when The National Championship, I just glad it wasn't with Spurrier. UF has a really good chance to win it again next year. Most of the team are underclassmen.

The only thing that worries me is losing Siler, Moss, and Nelson... all star Defensive players.

Yeah, I'm hoping one of them ends up on the Redskins next year, 6th pick. Need D-line and a safety.

Reggie Nelson is going to be a beast in the NFL... he won't fall past Atlanta at pick 10 though... I would love for him to joing Jacksonvilles Defense
