^ But I think if Lance gets it this year he should retire and leave the sport at the top of his game.... Also, the french reporters are trying hard to get him for doping... damn bastards.... I got to root for a fellow Texan.....

He can't he is already contractually obligated to ride next year. That was part of the new sponsors requirements.

Nice to see a Texan [in fact, a fellow Austinite!] dominate sport catering to Frenchmen.

I dont believe any human being is immortal. However, if any were, Lance (along with Jordan and Tiger) would be on the short list.

no offense, but you can't even BEGIN to put Jordan and Tiger anywhere near the same league of immortallity w/ Lance. The guy is a f'ing cancer survivor for gods sake

hope there is a picture of that on the internet somewhere so someone can photochop it and put some OWNED text on there... just like WW2

even the announcers were saying kloden just won the race with that move... I don't know... Lance is just amazing but you gotta give it up for the USPS team.

I wouldnt consider Tiger but Jordan definately, Jordan had his share of shit, definately Lance is more of an inspiration but MJ is definately the immortal of his respective sport.

I am a huge MJ fan, but if you look at the big picture Lance is the more dominant in their respective sports. If you watch OLN all the commercials are just Lance Armstrong.... Briggs, Subaru, USPS...he has a shitload of exposure more than MJ had at one time. People talk about how Kobe could be as good as jordan, although I don't think so people still have the notion that MJ can be outclassed... If you saw the race today Lance is just utterly amazing with help from his team. But still far superior to his competitors.

Yes... and Lance Armstrong knows this as well that is why he was trying to get Floyd Landis the win but it just wasn't to be, he spent to much energy leading Lance up the mountains the whole day.

Hero of the day Floyd Landis.

The sports figure of this century so far... Lance Armstrong.

I disagree the difference between MJ's career and Lance's is real easy. MJ played in a league which was critiqued much more frequently. We have never had a bike racing hero before, before Jordan there were and still are heros. He stood out as far as he did in a class of giants where Lance is revolutionizing a sport and giving it alot of publicity. Dont get me wr0ong not to take anything away from Lance because shit he is the greatest in his sport and he did survive cancer which amazing cannot even begin to describe. But think about it...

By the way Lance is going for 6 Championships the same number that Jordan won....

6 has never been done in le tour de france....

im not getting your point...

NBA is not world basketball... even though there are more international players these days in the league. Cycling is a world sport. USPS is not an American team... the team leader Lance Armstrong is, and the sponsor is United States Postal Service... but the team does not consist of all americans.
