If we have rules and dont follow them, whats the point of having it in the first place?

Sorry I came onto this thread a little late, but from what the OP was saying and the links that he was posting up, sounded to me like he + the news reporters were whining about not winning.

+ some of the other comments I read, had nothing to do with the Olympics but attacking China. I just think it's wrong to tell a country how to run things, just because it doesn't agree with your way of life.

I totally agree that China needs to play by the rules. And was fucking pissed when the Chinese fans at the womens archery match between Korea and China, started booing and using their digital camera's flash to distract the Korean girl.

looks like nastia Luikin got robbed on her vault score in the all around too.

And wtf was with the fans at the Womens 100m freestyle? they should have not started that race.

^I think some are. Regardless, Sean Johnson did an awesome uneven bars and got 1.3 points less than the Chinese girl.

i think shawn's scores had something to do with the "starting scores"...

so i guess her routine wasn't as difficult.

but the judging on the balance beams so far has been weird...

I can't believe people are saying this is all about whining because the US lost. The US is going to dominate in these games like we always do. 1 gold medal doesn't matter in the final tally.

But there's simply no way in hell his girl is 16 years old.

And she isn't even the one with all the data to prove it! Her name is Deng Linlin.

again, the issue here is not that the US lost but that the chinese broke the rules.

When they were in the blocks at the "get set" stage the fans started chanting something, I think they were yelling CHINA and you couldn't hear squat, then the started hesitated for a few seconds and the announcers were saying that they should step down and wait till the crowd shuts up, then the starter let them go. In total it was probably about 10 second delay but if you were one of the swimmers it probably felt like an hour.

Bela Karoli, his wife is the current Coach for Team USA Gymnastics. He was Nadia Comaneci's coach before he defected to the US in the early 80's.

Unbelievable. Are you for real? "Telling a country how to run things, just because it doesn't agree with your way of life?!" Where are you getting that from, dude? The fact is, China is a totalitarian, facist state, straight out of the mold of the old USSR, a country that not only oppresses its people, but commits atrocities against them. And you defend this?

Intead of being a hyper-liberal commie sympathizer, why don't you try standing up for your country. You don't know how good you have it, and that's pathetic.

All I can say is go live there and see if you like it.

The US and Nato and before Nato have had their citizens killed for people to live free. Your :twocents: just shits on them giving their lives so others can be free, no matter what Country that is.

Learn about what you do not know and then google China and Darfur and see if you like what you see.

Nobody should have interfered with the Germans. What they were doing to the Jews was their own business. Just because we disagree didn't mean we had to go to war with them.

Go see if you have the almost "total" freedom that you have in the US and most other Countries. Go there and start a family and when they tell you that your kid will be taken from you and put in a Goverment Sports School and you get to see them a couple times a year. See if you're OK what that.

No there is nothing wrong with living there, but try to have a life when the Government is telling to you how to live. Hopefully one more generation well get rid of that. It was tried in 1989 and the Government went and killed those who protesting, not arrested but killed.

So have you ever lived there? I know that you're not moving there because your Canadian but have you ever lived there (not vacationed or spent a month, but actually called China home).

I'm not comparing the living standards in China and the US. Is there total freedom... clearly no, but I have family there and they do have lives. Everyone here acts like they know what it's like in China.

Have you seen cities like Shanghai, Guangzhao and Beijing? As modern as any in the States.

So.. will it is not like the USA, it is far from the picture everyone here is painting.
