NFL: Randy Moss as a Packer...?

Interesting. Interesting.
1) Randy Moss still plays football?
2) Whatever talent the guy still has (probably not much) is completely eclipsed by the festering turd he has for a brain.
The Packers would be better off trying to talk Jimmy Smith out of retirement.

farve has been overrated for the past 4-5 years.
moss has been overrated for the past 2-3 years.
the packers will still lose, IMO.
i would think a second round pick for green bay would be well worth it for moss. a proven, but probably overrated playmaker that can stretch the field. plus, green bay's 2nd round pick is going to be mid second round and moss would definitely be better than the receivers that would be available in the draft if the packers were to keep the pick.
i wish philly would pick up moss but thatll never happen due to the TO fiasco.

NO, he didn't actually moon the fans. He simulated it and I didn't think it was a big deal. The sports media made it a big deal and people bought into it as usual.
Moss still has game. He just needs to be put in the right situation. I'd like to see him in a Redskins uniform.
Moss + Moss = Super Bowl

What Would Don Draper Do?
i think moss still has the ability, physically. i just don't trust where his head's at.
besides, you know packers fans will be ok with moss IF favre comes out and says he's ok with it.

meh, signing is one thing...being traded is another...
Current rumor on our sports radio here is that the deal is all but inked for their second string QB...Aaron Rogers or something like that...

What's Moss's incentive? Winning games? Making more money? I doubt there's anything driving him. As a pro athlete once said, and I paraphrase, "It's tough to get up at dawn and work-out when you're sleeping in silk sheets."

Write this down...
The Raiders will get Rodgers and a 6th or 7th pick in 2008, and the Packers will likely get Moss, and TE Courtney Anderson... probably a conditional pick as well, depending on Rodgers performance...

As per ChrisKelly's post, here's the article of what Oakland may be getting in return from Sportingnews...

Randy Moss rumors grew Thursday, as the Boston Herald reported the Green Bay Packers are closing in on a deal for the controversial wider.
According to the Herald report, the Packers would get Moss from the Oakland Raiders along with tight end Courtney Anderson in exchange for backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers and a seventh-round pick in 2008.
Packers fans have expressed extreme displeasure with a potential Moss trade, and Packers officials were reportedly weighing the risk of signing the unpopular wide receiver against the reward he could bring in terms of production and scoring.
"I don't want to say it's been overwhelming, but there have been a few fans who (complained)," Packers boss Robert E. Harlan said in a story on MSNBC Sports' website. "And the thing they basically say to me is, 'You guys have so much class. Don't lose class now.' "
Similar debate surrounded wide receiver Koren Robinson, who is under suspension but could be welcomed back when or if he is reinstated by the NFL.

^ he needs to hurry up and retire. im so sick of espn covering his "will he or wont he retire" every week during the season and offseason. if he was performing up to a pro bowl level, he should deserve a pass but not when hes just another medicore qb in a shitty division
