My team... I was 6th overall in a 10 man league. Took M. Barber with my 1st pick wasn't expecting to take Manning with the second, but he was clearly the best player on the board at that time.

QB: P. Manning, M. Bulger
RB: M. Barber, M. Turner, C. Johnson, D. Williams
WR: M. Colston, B. Marshall, N. Burleson, A. Gonzalez, J. Porter, B. Johnson
TE: C. Cooley, K. Boss
K: Scobee
DEF: Pittsburg

Overall, I'm pretty happy, only time will tell...

Drafted another team last night:

QB Ben Roethlisberger PIT
RB Adrian Peterson MIN
RB Reggie Bush NOR
RB/WR Ronnie Brown MIA
WR Braylon Edwards CLE
WR Larry Fitzgerald ARI
TE Antonio Gates SDG
DEF Jaguars
K Phil Dawson CLE

BN Brett Favre NYJ QB
BN DeAngelo Williams CAR RB
BN Leon Washington NYJ RB
BN Ted Ginn MIA WR
BN DeSean Jackson PHI WR
BN Justin Gage TEN WR
BN Greg Olsen CHI TE
BN Cowboys DEF

I drafted 3rd and Peterson fell to me since Westbrook was drafted 2nd, probably because this is a points-per-reception league. Pretty happy that I got AP with that pick. I'm a little worried about my QBs though.

Not sure about that. From what I've heard it will be an almost 50/50 time share between MoMo & JuJo in Seattle, at least to start the season. He might be worth more than Watson I guess, especially since Chris Perry is technically the starter in CIN.

Yeah, and I have 2 big ones! But seriously, I factored in AP's chance of injury, along with Westbrook being the Eagles entire offense pretty much, even more so with Kevin Curtis out. Plus he's more established, consistent, etc. It was a last minute decision though.

^ Cutler, even with Brandon Marshall out. I'm not crazy about Vince Young to begin with; even less so against the Jaguars' D.

Anyone have any Sleeper picks they'd like to share? I picked up Kenny Watson as my last pick, Im also keeping an eye on Jabar Gaffney. If LJ gets hurt i think Kolby Smith can def do some damage as well.

Sources: Brady out with ACL tear

By Michael Silver, Yahoo! Sports 52 minutes ago

Yahoo! Sports

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is expected to miss the rest of the 2008 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to a source familiar with the injury.

While New England coach Bill Belichick said in his postgame press conference that he had no update on the status of Brady’s injury, two sources indicated it involved serious damage to the knee.

“It’s bad,” a team source said. “We’re going to have to play without him.”

Brady was hurt as he stepped up in the pocket to make a throw to wideout Randy Moss. Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard, who was on the ground, lunged forward and struck Brady’s leg, which buckled as he released the ball.

Brady was helped off the field and was later led down a staircase by team officials, presumably to undergo tests.

Fourth-year quarterback Matt Cassel, who had thrown just 39 passes in his career before Sunday, replaced Brady and completed 13 of 18 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown. Cassel, who backed up Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at USC, hasn’t been a starting quarterback since high school. He won a competition with Matt Gutierrez during the preseason to retain the job as Brady’s primary backup.

WR Santiono Holmes
RB Michael Turner
RB Jamal Lewis
TE Jeremy Shockey
Def GB
Kicker Shayne Graham
Bench

Word as for sleepers? Matt Ryan, of course Michael Turner now, Earnest Graham, matt forte, and possibly Bryant Johnson if the SF QB situation ever becomes reliable.

I picked up Kevin Walter (Hou) yesterday. He scored in garbage time against the Steelers but he was the highest rated FA in my league at the time.

**checks to make sure isn't playing either player in his league***

Okay start LJ because Edge is giving up goal line possesions to Tim Hightower. Well that's what they did last week. Miami's run D is pretty crappy however. Thomas Jones got 100 and a TD against us last week.

LJ is washed up and Denver's backs didn't exactly go nuts. I think the best runner, Andre Hall, had 60 yards, and Sedrick Ellis had 30-40 with a TD. Oak's DT's are pretty good too and I believe KC is breaking in a new LT.

Me personally, I'd probably start LJ as I'm sure he was your 2nd or 3rd pick. I kind of go with my stars until I see a pattern of suckiness.

That's the dilema I was having. Edge tends to catch more passes than LJ, as well. Last week Edge got more points than LJ and I didn't start him, so if I start him this week he will get less points. Most likely I'll start LJ, but I will wait till closer to game time to make my final decision.

I would say to go with Eli, STL has a weak defense, but you never know, cleveland has an explosive offense so it might be a bounce back game for them against a tougher pitt d, giants and STL sounds more off a shootout my

Be careful with Eli. Sometimes when you play a crap team it's easier to run on them. RB might have a bigger day than QB.
