The roof is coming down on the Rams in a few years for sure. They're gunning for at least one SB win in the short term.
That's fine, but those big names will be gone, old, or will command even more money. QB especially, with Goff on his rookie deal. Wade Phillips probably retiring soon as well. Their strategy isn't sustainable.
My money is on the Patriots drafting a QB, maybe not even in the first round. No way they trade for OBJ unless it's just one 1st rounder

^Because it gets dropped when he signs. I doubt a lawsuit is what started the blackballing. Owners, regardless of their beliefs, have a percentage of fans not happy with him that they're afraid to offend. Especially with ratings down and the games costing a fortune to see.

I'm not sure if Kaep wants to play or get a payday via lawsuit. If he wants to play, his way out is to make it part of the deal he no longer kneels. In truth, he's made his point, he started a movement, and I don't see that folks would fault him for moving on and getting back to the game. But if he wants to play and protest, yeah he's going to sit a long time.
But I'm not sure what his end game is at this point.

So I'm reading this trying to decide if it's good he stuck to his guns or he's just throwing away opportunities at this point. Kind-of thinking he's just throwing away opportunities. Get over yourself and play ball or just go do something else.

Two weeks ago the workout was being arranged. Colin was enthusiastic about it. The trip and the workout was arranged for a significant period of time and on the eve of his travel, Seattle put the situation on hold. Seattle said it wouldn’t be worth his time and shouldn’t bother with the travel and that it’s not worth coming if he continued kneeling or doing on-field activism. He had to agree in advance if he wanted to go. Colin was focused on his workout and his focus was on being the best football player and performing at the workout. He certainly did not agree to the pre-condition. Literally, this was on the eve of it and they cancelled it. It was supposed to be on Monday.

I think he's well aware that he's hurting his chances. I don't think he'll change his mind.
Owners and GMs don't want to hurt their team by causing a media circus and distracting or dividing their locker room. All that is understandable.
Eric Reid had a workout, went and talked with the coaching staff who didn't care about the kneeling. But Mike Brown, being the excellent owner that he is, would only give Reid a chance if he agreed to never kneel. Reid wasn't ready to give an answer and so the Bengals rescinded the offer.
But then again... outspoken assholes like Vontaze Burfict and Adam Jones are still on the team.

If the allegations about Reuben Foster are true, i.e. this goes to court, then he's getting the boot immediately. The girl hired a lawyer though, seems like she'd rather get a settlement.
Not sure what exactly happened. But I know if he gets released the Cowboys or Bengals will pick him up very quickly.

Her hiring a lawyer is a sign that she just wants hush money. If that's the case I doubt anything will happen.
He was a beast on the 9ers too. He was supposed to be the chosen one. Deep down I think the FO knows they can't lose Foster, cause someone else will take him. But it's way too much baggage if he gets convicted. He could follow in the footsteps of Ray Lewis... or he could be the next Aldon Smiith.

We'll probably never know what really happened. But one thing's for sure, Reuben's baby mama stood to gain a lot more than nothing, and he stands to lose everything. So a million (or whatever) and agreeing to pay child support indefinitely would be better than nothing.

I should mention I really wanted to get a Foster jersey at one point. Glad I didn't. I don't follow CFB but seeing him take out Fournette on a kick return was one of the things that really sold me on him.
He's a dumbass, that's for sure at this point. Keep your guns in 'Bama and weed in CA... Jesus

Im not saying you were wrong. I was reading the same bad stuff you were. It was just weird while we were talking about it, that article just showed on twitter and kinda changed the narrative
