After the year he had, that's a really bad offer

I'm suspicious that's the case. I've had Murray in my fantasy league the last three seasons. He's always been solid, but over those three years what got better was the offensive line, not necessarily his skills. Behind a good offensive line, most running backs will look good. Granted he has top-tier skills, but behind that o-line Dallas could have just as effective a running game with someone else who isn't in line for a huge payday. If that's all true, he'll be financially better off on another team anyway.
He'd be an intriguing fit somewhere like Buffalo or even Cleveland.

Well, you don't seem many (or any? I don't et to watch a lot) one man shows in today's NFL. What one man used to pull as the #1 back typically has to be split between two now.

Dez, on the other hand, is a beast that a defense has to plan for.

As terrible as Trent is, he actually has the same rushing yards per carry as Alfred Williams and Andre Ellington. Indy wasn't really as committed to the run as most teams. And then 6th rounder Dan Herron outperforms him. Just another reason that it's hard trusting RB with long term deals.

Just saw Jack Del Rio signed as Raiders new head coach. Moving trucks are starting to leave the Denver area.....

There was nothing wrong with the defense. And yet the 49ers let go of their DC, LB, and secondary coaches.
And so...
I like Tomsula, but like Singletary years ago, I don't know how he'll pan out at HC. Obviously, I wish him success. But I think he's in over his head.

I don't really see him fitting the Browns. They already have the rookie tandem of Crowell and West, and while they aren't perfect they were pretty solid. Crowell with some offseason conditioning and some work on ball security is going to be one of the better backs in the league. Not elite, granted, but very good.
As far as the Belicheck thing, there was only one incident he got caught for. If you really believe that was the only time Belicheck illegally filmed other teams, I have a bridge to sell you. Throughout his entire career he and his staff have consistently spent a good amount of time and effort looking for ways to skirt the rules. Do you even remember the playoff game a few years ago against the Colts that lead to the NFL changing the PI rules?
And yes, what they did against the Ravens was legal, but just barely. I watched Vareen declare himself ineligible just before the snap at least once. While this is technically legal, it doesn't mean it isn't shady. Look, I'm from Cleveland, the fact that I'm defending the Ratbirds tells you everything you need to know.
In terms of the Pats - I'm a Pats fan so say what you want about Belichick, there is no denying his record, statistics or ability to pick players and manage personnel. Yes there was the scandal about illegal filming of signaling, but that was one incident. He has been coaching for years........
John Harbaugh didn't like the four man offensive line formation with the RB declared as an neligible receiver the Pats used against his team. Was it unorthodox - yes, illegal, no. Chuck Pagano reached out to the head NFL official and was told the same thing. By the rules, what Belichick did was 100% legal and he reported said they do a great job of managing groups of personnel and keep their opponents on their toes.
Don't be hating.......

Ever since I read the book Moneyball years ago, I've long suspected that Belicheck has figured out something equivalent for Football. Some mathematical/statistics based method of selecting players that optimize performance but keeps the cost down. Aside from Brady, they never seem to throw ridiculous amounts of money at anyone, and again aside from Brady don't really rely on any one person to carry a huge load. Their players all seem like they work together as if they were a puzzle, each piece being selected for a very specific purpose. And year after year after year, they field a competitive team. You can't do that without some kind of method that allows you to reliably and repeatably select players. I personally think he's just one step ahead of just about everyone. Wouldn't be at all surprised to learn he has some PhD mathematicians on staff. Just a conspiracy theory, but he sure runs that team in a way that always seems like player value is being optimized.
I don't know what it is, but he definitely is consistent.

As svtmike said, Bears could've done way worse. He's one of the rare coach hires that has previous head-coaching experience.
If his Carolina teams were any indication, the play will be more run-oriented and perhaps, with a good run game, establish some play-action and minimize stupidity from Cutler if he's kept.
