Rams, Jags, Vikings, Panthers all have QBs of the future that were drafted too high to give up on. Colts need to start developing a replacement for Manning, but they also are going to have a lot of spots to replace aging vets though.
There's going to be some intriguing prospects coming out over the next few years that you might take the risk of not keeping Luck.

Well, I'd give Palmer a chance...he had what? A day to learn the playbook?
Still, getting shutout by the Chefs, ouch.

Clearly, the Colts are about the Man(ning) not the team....not that he could have stopped the buzz saw that is the Saints offense.
...and I'm so glad my Jets pulled it together in that second half. Good way to go into the bye.

the only one's that for sure would want to keep him is Miami, Seattle, and Denver, and I'm not expecting Seattle or Denver to end up with the worst record.
I could see other most of the other teams at the bottom consider trading him. It'll definitely be interesting if the Rams, Jags, Vikes, or Cards get the 1st overall. I think they'd really consider keeping Luck, and putting Bradford, Gabbert, Ponder, Kolb on the market. I think Indy would hold on to Luck, since especially this year, is teaching them what a valuable QB means to the team, but they are weak at a lot of positions.

What's funny about that saying, Chris and Al were talking to players this week going into the game. There are players that are pissed off the people aren't given the Colts a chance this year because Manning is out. They were saying something like, it's not a one man team, there are many. Last night ... many ???

CHICAGO—According to reports from within the Bears organization, pride has somehow been displayed by the team this week following its 39-10 home victory over the struggling 1-5 Vikings. "I thought we looked great out there," said head coach Lovie Smith, who for some reason praised his team's success in containing broken-down Vikings quarterback Donovan McNabb, passing for a mere 267 yards against one of the league's worst defenses, and defeating the last-place team in the NFC North. "And how about Devin Hester's 98-yard touchdown return?" added Smith, expressing pride in a third-quarter play that had no effect on the outcome of the game. Sources within the Bears organization said the team is also inexplicably proud of its 3-3 record this season, its 29th-ranked defense, and Brian Urlacher.

Jags might not get 1st pick but Gabbert ain't stopping them from drafting Luck. Good bye Blaine. Same for Ponder. Panthers won't finish last.

Rams are worse in Bradford's 2nd year. Why not upgrade? Bradford was a huge draft pick but Luck is this decade's Manning. I don't think anyone has the balls to trade him. If anything they'll develop him a year and then trade Bradford. Look how much value Carson Palmer had as a wash up, Kolb with his potential, etc. Bradford is young with skills and huge upside. Teams would kill for him no matter how bad St Louis was this year.

pretty much summed up my thoughts LOL They have a good QB, they have an awesome RB, O line is pretty decent. They need wide outs who can catch (they just traded for LLoyd , lets see if he produces) and they need Defensive players like a mofo. They'll get better through the draft but I doubt its by drafting Luck. I can see them trading down in the draft to accumulate more draft picks to add depth and talent if they're smart.

I'd like to be the first to propose a possible dark horse candidate to draft Luck - the Patriots.
It's completely against type for the organization. They prefer to trade down and stockpile picks. But it might be the best time to cash in those chips on a franchise QB to replace Brady in 2015.

But who's to say Luck will be better? He might look like the surest thing in the world (surest thing in awhile, sure), but you never know until you get there.
If St Louis, Jax, Minnesota draft Luck, they are going to get absolutely skewered on all fronts and rightly so.

Stop talking about Bradford, he's not the problem, it's McDaniels. He changed everything that worked for them last year with Shurmur.
