Yup. The importance of an effective backup QB is huge. If Chicago could've just won 2 games when Cutler went down, they would at least have a shot in the playoffs.

Yeah, but who's going to throw to him?

Manning will to go Tennessee (taxes too high in California)(but 49ers are his best spot for SB in next two years.)

Smith will sign in Miami

Flynn has signed in Seattle.

What's more out there is Smith signing in Miami. I don't either party is interested in that scenario.

In the end I think Smith ends up back in San Fran, and Manning goes to Denver.

Either party, Miami wouldn't have flown him in, if they didn't have interest.

A meeting doesn't hurt either side but in the end I think Smith only has value to San Fran. I'd think Miami would rather draft a QB. Unless of course they can get Smith for next to nothing.

And I don't think Smith wants to start over, unless he's truly butt hurt about Manning. San Fran playing with fire if they lose out on both....Should be a very interesting week.

As expected..

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/77...os-sources-say

Peyton Manning will become the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos, barring a snag during intensified contract negotiations that have commenced under the instruction of the four-time MVP to his agent Tom Condon, according to multiple sources.

And where does Tebow go? Miami?

Interesting to see Manning headed to the Broncos. Not sure if it is the best fit of all of his suitors.

Disappointing. Not that I could really care about where he went. I was just interested in seeing Tebow actually be the starting QB from day one with all of camp under him in the second year in a system and see what he could do. I guess here is to hoping he ends up in Miami cause I don't really see him studying under Manning to be very beneficial since they are two completely different style QBs.

And yup, T-bow's 5 minutes of fame in Denver is likely over.

nobody wants to sign with the Dolphins and Smith wants to stay with a playoff team not a losing team

I thought he would have been a better fit for the 49ers. I actually kinda feel bad for Tebow. As soon as Elway was there nothing he did was right in his eyes since he wasn't a pocket passer like Elway.
