LaBron is just plain sick... cannot believe he is barely 20. It's unbelievable. Went to the Piston's/Bulls game on Sat... great game for Wallace! He was lighting it up!

I heard he was also showing up the Bulls by laughing when he was scoring late in the game...

Man the West is all out of wack. The Clips and Warriors are at the top while the Lakers and Kings at the bottom.

I got Lebron in my Fantasy league and he tears it up. My only concern is his FG%. He sometimes has under 40% shooting.

I hear Timmy's contract will get bought out since he's so untradable. Speaking of non-wanted players, Voshon Lenard might get traded to Miami. I guess they'll take backup C Michael Doleac since he's pretty much the only one to trade. We can use some more shooters.

the west is making some interesting changes, the clippers and warriors could be becoming the better teams in the west for once!! i watched my wolves play the kings last night and the kings looked absolutley PATHETIC, with 5mins left in the 4th it was like 69-76 wolves and rick adelman pulled every starter out of the game for the rest of the game! it must suck for shareef, hes been a very good player all his career on CRAP teams, he wont even make the playoffs on the kings!

Well, the Kings is slide is somewhat a surprise to me...but, the Lakers being a crappy team this season is no shocker...at least not until Kobe learns to make use of Odom and the rest of his teammates.

Odom has been being utilized more lately it seems. I've been checking box scores like crack and Odom has had some nice games. There was a game they lost the other night where Kobe didn't have the most shots and had 8 assists. They don't seem to be built to win this year anyways. Smush has had some nice games and is up there in steals I believe.

Speaking of Kings, I was watching the Playboy E! show Girls Next Door. They went to the Palms hotel owned by the Maloofs and showed off one of the suites. It has a full size half court with hardwood floors and regulation hoop. There's even a fold out bed from the wall on the court. One of the Playboy chicks was sinking J's better than Bibby.

**Breaking News** Riley to coach Heat again

Van Gundy resigned for personal reasons. He did look spent after losing to the Nuggets on Friday.

Oh my god..Only if Phil Jackson held out, I'm sure he'd rather be with Shaq than Kobe..I don't think Riley has it in him to coach anymore. I hope the Heat can pull it through, I like Shaq he deserves another championship to shove up Kobe and the Lakers' ass.

Let me clarify a few things.

Van Gundy is a great coach. In case you forgot he got us to Game 7 of the Eastern Finals with hurt stars. We're in the Finals if healthy. The year before that he gets us to a 4th seed after starting horribly. Shaq just came back yesterday and we win the game. We probably would've gotten several nice streaks thanks to Shaq coming back, Jason Williams being healthy, and finally playing with all 5 starters.

Riley did need a break since the demise of Zo screwed up the team and it was too much for him. He's rejuvenated now and I'm sure he'll be alright to coach again. I hope he lets Wade continue playing how he's playing because he's tearing shit up.

van gundy is far from a great coach, just like his brother. even with wade healthy, detroit still wins. detroit should have beat the spurs if it wasnt for part robert horry, part rasheed wallace.

riley is 10 times better than van gundy will ever be. he will make shaq into a force again

and no way phil would rather have shaq than kobe. remember that guy michael jordan? kobe is the next best thing. give it time, kobe is still young

First off. It doesnt matter who coaches the heat. They will still lose in the eastern conference playoffs. Either to the Pacers or the Pistons. And if, like thats gonna happen, they make it to the finals they will get their shit pushed in by the Spurs.

P.S. the Piston woulda never beaten the Spurs even if it werent for that whole Robert Horry/Rasheed Wallace thing.

are you serious? if robert horry didnt go completely unconscious, the spurs would have been done. and even after that, if rasheed wallace actually stayed on him on the last play, no way he could have made the shot. after that, no way the spurs could have came back. I am looking forward to the same GREAT finals matchup. best series there has been in a long time...and people thought it would be boring

Lets see if Riley can "coach" Shaq into making free throws.

yeah Im serious. Thats just like saying if the Pistons didnt have great D they wouldnt have beaten the Lakers the previous year or if Steve Kerr didnt hit 4 3 threes the Spurs would have never beaten the Lakers and won the title before that year. Teams win championships, not individuals. Team effort. Robert Horry's might just sting a lil bit more.

Just a matter of time before Riles stepped in on Van Gundy. All that was needed was a slow start by the Heat.

Then again I wonder if Van Gundy really did step down for family reasons (like what?) or whether he was pushed out.

I'm gonna have to disagree. A great series consists of more than just one classic game and a decent but strangely unexciting game 7.

Nobody seems to remember the first four games. Atrocious. Each game was a boring blowout in which the losing team failed to crack 80 points.

The Game 5 thriller was obviously a classic, but game 6 wasn't all that special. Can you remember anything from that Game 6? Me niether.

And the Game 7 was decent, but again, not very memorable. All I seem to remember is all the fouls being called down the stretch, Duncan missing free throws, and debating whether Duncan or Ginobilli would get Finals MVP.

The last 3 games would have to be game 5 quality to call that series "GREAT", considering how bad the first 4 games were.

Let's see he has 2 seasons under his belt so yes it is hard to say he's a "great" coach. But you said he's "no coach". 42-40 4th seed and 1st seed is a pretty good resume. And no he didn't have Shaq his first year.

and no way phil would rather have shaq than kobe. remember that guy michael jordan? kobe is the next best thing. give it time, kobe is still young
Kind of funny that Phil never wrote a book about getting counseling for Shaq.

He still won championships from clanking them.

i think stan van gundy was a good coach. after pat riley pulled that crap on the team, stan picked up the pieces of shit and ran w/ it w/ pretty good results.

I give my total respect to this man, who loves his family so much that he's willing to give up the things that everyone dream of.

as far as riley coaching again, i'll be a bit reserve about it. he hasn't done anything remotely close to coaching in 2 years. not sure if he can do it again.

Detroit is an over-hyped team. San Antonio was simply a better caliber ball club.

As for Kobe, he is no where near Jordan and honestly shouldn't be compared to him. The reason LA won championships was because of Shaq. Kobe is a good player, but nothing exceptional. Kobe is almost 28 years old, how much more time does he need???

oh jeez, not you again.

Detroit is anything but over-hyped. they are underrated. look at them this year, they have been better than ever.

and LA did not win because of shaq. look what kobe did when shaq was out of the lineup, and then the reverse. look at shaq now, going down. kobe still rising. did you just call kobe good, but not exceptional? He is probably the most talented player in the league...and i did not say he is as good as michael jordan, i just said he is the bext best thing, and you can compare him better than anyone else. lebron certainly in nothing like MJ, nor tim duncan, and ESPECIALLY not shaq.

I think Lebron is already about as good as Kobe and he's freaking 20. How can it be said that Shaq is going down? His stats were better for points per game than his last year in LA and he had a career high in FG% ever.

And as far as Shaq not helping LA win??? Shaq goes to Orlando they make the Finals. Shaq goes to LA, dynasty. Shaq goes to Miami 4th to 1st seed and Eastern Conf. Finals. LA without Shaq, doesn't make playoffs. So explain to me again how Shaq is not the reason LA won?

Artest trade?

Send him to Miami. They might have a shot with artest on the roster against the spurs.
