Well, since uber-teams are the new cool thang in basketball, I would say LeBron going to Milwaukee or Philly makes the most sense.
LA doesn't have enough bluechips to take that next step. Heck even Minnesota possibly would be better than LA.

I wonder what they'd have to give up if talks are still get Leonard. Do they give up Hayward (who reportedly has been showing a lot better shooting while he's been recovering), or do they give up some vital young pieces? Do they bother taking the 1-year rental risk since he's said he wants to go to LA (esp. now that Bron Bron is there).

But Watch I'm calling this.
Boogie cousins to the Lakers
Randle will go to another team.
Lebron and Cousins on the same team shiiiiiit, Although, Cousins has never played with an actual all-star. Davis is good, but he's not ALL STAR.
McGee joined the Lakers, and can play back up to Boogie.
Lakers have Stephenson now
This is what I would love:
Bring Leonard to the Lakers in a trade for Ball draft pick and someone else. Ingram more then likely or Kuzma but I don't want to see those 2 players go. Or Lakers should do a re-sign and trade with Randle. Trade Randle and ball for Leonard.
At the point you have Thomas, (or Caldwell Pope if he can play the one)
At the 2 you have Ingram
At the 3 you have James
At the 4 you have Leonard
At the 5 Cousins
You would have McGee, Kuzma, Stephenson coming off the bench.

I never could stand watching LeBron play. The Decision aside, it's great that he brought a championship to Cleveland and his home state.
Then you have Harden, who is a fuckwit no matter how you look at him.
You aren't one of them but I remember high school being plagued with Lakers jerseys. Now those same Bay Area people have Warriors all over their car, Facebook...

Celtics can't trade Hayward. Team would be better but it would be catastrophic for the franchise. You'd lose the trust of arguably a top 3 coach in the league and you would never be able to sign a superstar free agent again
They'll through out a low ball offer like Rozier/Morris/1st round pick. Celtics don't need him. It would just be a luxury to have.

It's funny because Kobe and LeBron are mirror opposites in that I while I liked Kobe on the court, he was an asshole off of it.

Very true. Even when LBJ did it in Miami, Miami wasn't even a 73 game winning team. Unlike lengthy ass boy Durant.

They won't get him. I'm thinking Sixers. Although, dream would be LA.

I was like WTF?? when i saw that yesterday.... and damn lakers are gonna be shaqtin a fool every week now cuz of McGee..

I just thought PG should not have signed a 4 years deal... should have done a 1-2 years deal with OKC and see what happens.

No idea.. maybe he thinks that him with Westbrook has a higher chance of winning than him with LBJ?? or maybe he just enjoys the life in the middle of nowhere. Either way... LA was a much much better place for him career wise and future career due to the market size.
for Carmelo, Unless his 3pt % improved dramatically, LA has no role for him.

Damn son!! It s been a while since people wanted to come to LA Not used to this.
LeBron James is a Laker. Kawhi Leonard wants to be a Laker, and if he does not get his wish and has to come back to the Spurs, don't rule out him sitting out next season, according to Stephen A. Smith on SportsCenter:
"According to a couple of other executives because of the personality of Kawhi Leonard and what transpired last season they said to me don't rule out the possiblty of Kawhi Leonard sitting out next season before he is willing to come back to the San Antonio Spurs. That is how badly he wants out. That is how badly he wants to remain in LA."

Then you have reports Golden State has considered pursuing him if it weren't for keeping the starting 4 together.....

Chances are they lose Kuzma & Ingram + a 1st round pick, possibly 2 (2019,2020). S&T Randle is the only alternative to losing both b/c he wants to go home to Texas and he's not happy with LA.

Carmelo isn't going anywhere; he's not making $28 million elsewhere and his wife isn't letting him walk away from it.

^ it does not make sense... but who knows.
Because PG had 2 main goals for playing as he said himself: #1 playing to win rings... #2 playing for the home team Lakers.
With LBJ, he would have higher chance fulfilling both, instead with OKC... unless there was a 3rd reason that he did not talk about.
But knowing how it was 1 man show in Cleveland, i dont think LBJ would have decided to come to LA without knowing something we dont.... But we will find out soon enough.

Rondo has not been relevant for a while... only if he was as good as his Celtics days..
Reports: Lakers add Rajon Rondo, renounce rights to Julius Randle
The Lakers stayed busy on Monday, reportedly agreeing to a deal with point guard Rajon Rondo, according to Yahoo's Shams Charania.
The Lakers stayed busy on Monday, reportedly agreeing to a deal with point guard Rajon Rondo, according to Yahoo's Shams Charania.
Sources: Rajon Rondo is signing a one-year, $9M deal with Lakers.
Rondo returned to a high level of play with the New Orleans Pelicans last season with averages of 8.3 points, 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds.
To afford Rondo, the Lakers had to renounce the rights to forward Julius Randle, which they did on Monday afternoon, according the ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski:The Lakers have renounced Julius Randle, making him an unrestricted free agent, league source tells ESPN.

I dont know.. in the west at least for now.. it is all about super star power.... freaking GSW's bench are starters at other teams. probably superstar status in the east
THey might as well remove the eastern conference final because it is almost irrelevant whoever wins West, wins all.

Where will Randle go? Any takes? I'm thinking somewhere on the East, maybe Philly?
Lakers need to trade Ball...If they don't do it now it will happen eventually. LBJ isn't going to put up with Lavar.
