love what the clips did in the draft. Picked up Al-Farouq Aminu, Eric Bledsoe, and Willie Warren. Now once Lebron comes, we'll have a team

The chances of Lebron coming to the Clippers is -0%. Someone needs to purchase the Clippers and redo the organization top to bottom for them to be a good team they are unfortunately perennial losers.

I cant believe that noone wanted to take Kendrick Perkins and our 19th pick to trade up last night

They might as well have offered a broken rubber band and a hot glue gun in Perks place

I reallllllllly hope the Heat can make something happen. Resign Wade and get Bosh, Boozer or Stoudemire

Question: How is it not tampering if LeBron is having an interview with his 6 suitors prior to the free agency flood gates of July 1st...?

This is so weird...

And honestly, as much as I want LeBron on the Bulls, the amount of attention this has gotten has reached barf-like proportions.

Gotta love the multi-sightings and all of "sources" who says he'll go here or there...Mars, the Moon, Nancy Reagan's bathroom...

Lame.

Same goes for D-Wade, Bosh, et al.

i was a huge Bosh fan but his "i'm going to follow Lebron wherever he goes" crap makes him look soft. if he leaves Toronto, i hope his best years are behind him

Not at all. He's got the good sense to want to join a team that will legitimately contend for a championship. Lebron will make that the case for at least two prospective clubs (Bulls or Heat) as well as his current club. Bosh would make a great two man for James in each instance.

As a Knicks fan, I'd love to see both of them here in NYC but I doubt it.

LeBron please come to NY and save the Knicks!

Yummie he wont go to the Bulls, he wants his own statue instead of Micheal(whichever the way you spell it) Jordan in front of the United center.

Paul Pierce signs new 4-year, $61M deal with the Celtics:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...html?eref=sihp

With Doc Rivers already on board for another year, they just need to re-sign and give it one more shot. Sooo close this year...

Lets just say not worth it his skills are on the decline. They must be paying him for all the years of service I think they will regret this move in 1 to 2 years.

^ I think I'll agree to that. Boston's one of my favorite teams, but I think this year was their last chance.

This new generation of players has ruined basketball. (also the officiating has partly ruined it)

I dont recall Larry Bird, Michael Jordan or Magic asking to be traded or signing with teams that had a better chance at winning a championship.

The off season is when these players should be preparing for next years playoff runs, instead their visiting RIVAL teams.

WTF Lebron? I thought the Cavs and Bulls had a rivarly going?
Oh wait he already gave up in the fourth quarter of his last game against the Celtics. He probably figured, hey I cant beat them so maybe Ill just sign with their team

^^ Your absolutely right this generation has watered down the NBA with all these young players that either jumped directly from high school or played one year in college and then jumped and they weren't ready skills wise. It's sad because it has taken a toll on both the NBA and College basketball.

Lebron is a great basketball player but what a charade this has become. Why even meet with the Clippers? That move tells me he just wants attention because even with Lebron and the current roster they have no chance at a championship. He's already guaranteed a max contract and Cleveland has shown they will do almost anything to win so why mess around. I think he should look within and step up to the challenge because that giving up against the Celtics says a lot about his lack of mental toughness. On second thought he might be right at home with the Clippers they usually give up too.

Post Stoudemire Signs with Knicks

From TSN...

The first domino in the NBA free agent game appears to have fallen as Sports Illustrated is reporting that Amar'e Stoudemire has agreed to sign with the New York Knicks.

The move would reunite the five-time NBA All-Star with former Phoenix Suns head coach Mike D'Antoni.

The deal is for a reported five years and close to $100 million, however it cannot be made official until NBA free agency period opens on Thursday.

The 27-year old averaged 23 points and nine rebounds a game last season with the Suns, however he may see his personal numbers fade as the Knicks lack an elite-level point guard like Stoudemire's running mate in Phoenix, Steve Nash.

Although athletically gifted, Stoudemire is far from a guarantee as he has battled knee and ankle issues throughout his career. He has also been heavily criticized in some circles for his lack of defensive awareness.

Oof... Shaq to Boston?

http://greenstreet.weei.com/sports/b...fit-in-boston/

According to a report on ESPN.com, which cited league sources, the Celtics have expressed interest in center Shaquille O’Neal. With the C’s already over the salary cap, they could offer no more than the $5.8 million per year mid-level exception. According to the report, O’Neal would be intrigued by the idea of playing for Celtics coach Doc Rivers and with forward Kevin Garnett.

I like it. Saves them money in the short run and it lets Pierce retire as a Celtic. And I like the idea of him sticking it out with them for so many years, finally winning a championship and then sticking around even more to try to add to that, rather than going somewhere else to try and be the savior for some shitty team. Like you guys said, there aren't too many guys left these days like Bird and Magic - superstars who play their whole career with one team. I'm not saying Pierce is as good as they were, but he's at least in the ballpark as far as numbers and he's been the face of the franchise for over a decade. Again, I like it.

All of this free-agency hoopla: LeSuck.

Getting sick of seeing a new "reported source" saying what free agent is "leaning" towards signing every time I go to a sports news site.

Miami keeps Wade and gets Bosh.

Lebron will announce his decision tomorrow on espn. At least the proceeds go to charity from the ads.
