If you guys turned off this game, you will be kicking yourselves.

7-7 - end of the 8th.

Coming from you thats a guaranteed W for the Phils Thanks

As far as the ALCS goes I hope Tampa wins in 7....part of me says Tampa (the city) doesn't deserve it as they really have a terrible fan base and their attendance records are the WORST in the league at an avg of 40.7%...TERRIBLE!

No more like 99%. I've only seen one diehard Rays fan before they blew up. When I met him and saw him getting all excited about this shit team I was all !!!

I'm interested in the side story if it becomes a Rays v. Phillies WS. The Phillies spring training is in Clearwater (where I live, and Killer too) which is just a few miles north of St. Pete (where the Rays play) in the same county. On the way from Tampa to Clearwater going over the Courtney Campbell Causeway you'll see a sign that says "Go Rays" then a sign about 1000ft later that says "Go Phillies" and then just after that is a sign that says "Welcome to Clearwater spring training home of the Phillies". There's a famous breakfast restaurant in town called "Lenny's" that is right across from the Phillies new spring training stadium (even though the restaurant was there way before the stadium) and it's owned by HUGE Phillies fans and decorated in all sorts of Phillies stuff. During spring training they're open late for just the team so that they can come over and eat there, etc. So I'm hopin Erin Andrews hot ass comes to my town and does a report about this, I'll take Rachel Nichols too it doesn't matter.

I got my hair cut today and the barber cut it shorter than he normally does it and it looks just like a military jar head hair cut. As soon as my mom saw me she goes "Is that one of those?" I knew immediately that she was talking about my hair and asking if it was a ray-hawk. I said no and rolled my eyes. Then I get to work and my manager sees it and she goes "oh, did you get a ray-hawk?" I'm like no bitch, shut your whore mouth!! I don't wanna hear that shit!! So then every came up and was asking if it was a ray-hawk!! I doesn't even look like a mohawk!!

As much as I hate to say it, and I said this at the end of last year, the Phillies are the best team in baseball when they have Hamels on the mound.

My extended family has a house right next to where the Rays spring training field is...went to a game there (and to a Reds game) 2 years ago...nice place

Am I the only one who thought they could do it? Normally being down 3-1 in a series would make me nervous but not with the Red Sox, not anymore. If there's any team that can come back in the ALCS it's the Red Sox. Looking back they can't win the ALCS without facing elimination first.

I was saying it the whole game, "I will never count this team out until the last pitch is thrown, not the Red Sox."

I believe.

When I root for a team it's for the players not the fans or owners or anything else.

The Rays remind me of some of my old teams when I was still playing in high school...young, underrated, etc.

Sorry should have clarified...of course the Rays would deserve it if they were going to the World Series they are unbelievably talented. I just think its funny how all the fans in St. Pete pretend to care now

Well going into the game I thought they would force it to a game 7 and ultimately win it...however once the game progressed it went on as the last three games of the series and I was losing it a little bit. Once Papi hit the 3 run shot I thought they would come back

I understand what your saying, but every team that does well gets more fans. And when they do bad they lose fans. The Rays haven't been around a long time in terms of baseball and really haven't had time to build their fan base. They are still the smallest market team in the league.

I don't think Tampa will ever thrive as far as fans go...Mainly because there are so many transplants in Florida and people already have loyalties...thats just my

Next year, we take it back, when Howard is a Yankee and we have a full year of a non-Willie Randolph team.
