Lakers vs. Pistons

A very interesting first game. The Lakers looked like the team that had difficulty with Houston and the first two games at San Antonio. A great win for the Pistons who now hold the home-court advantage. Lets see what adjustments the Lakers make for game 2.

I'm just hoping that the Lakers come to play the next 4 game. I get frustrated when I see these multimillion dollar players bring a B game to an A event and expect to win. The lakers took the Pistons way to lightly and got creamed. However, I do anticipate that the Lakers will "bring it" in games 2 and 3.
Ortiz, who still wore his Laker gear to meet with a bunch of Piston fan after the game.

Just wondering ... the Piston game plan was to make Shaq and Kobe take difficult shots (but mostly defend one-on-one with switching) and shut down the other 3 Lakers. What was the Lakers game plan? I don't think they had one. Show up, play, hope to win, analyze what the Pistons are doing after game 1 and make adjustments? That's like giving away a game.
I had a horrible sports Sunday. Lakers lost, Dodger bullpen gave up a lead to ARIZONA and lost, Angels lost, Belmont Stakes were a disappointment, and Freddy Couples finished behind Ernie Els. At least Long Beach State advanced to the superregional by beating Stanford.

Yea, Larry Brown definetly came out with a great plan that none of the other teams have really tried, probably due to personnel... defend Shaq one-on-one, and let him have his points. It negates Kobe since there is no focus on Shaq and everything now comes down to the other players. Now if Fisher and company delivered, the game might have been different.
But Phil Jackson's no idiot, he probably wanted to feel this opponent out and probably had a game plan.
Junkster, who can't wait for game two
