BTW - It does seem as though Ovie took far more heat for the caps loss than Crosby did for the Pens. Why? because it was the 2nd round? Because he had a great 1st round?
Doesn't make much sense. What's the story in Pittsburgh?

Pittsburgh can forgive a guy for raping a woman, I think they are happy with Sidney.

But even here where every move made in the playoffs is analyzed there was very little talk of how did next to nothing to help his team advance. Although I think that had more to do with all the media attention moving over to the Cinderella habs.
He won Gold and he won Stanley's, they are giving him a break. The Habs, because they are a Canadian team should get more attention up there.
He ran out of juice and the rest of the team didn't help, they didn't help in the regular season, w/o Syndey the Gwens wouldn't have made it into the playoffs this year.

Fail,,, It's one and one, discussion is about Sydney.

Well, since we're counting medals and stuff, I guess Toews is better than Ovechkin too.

He was also named the Best Forward for the Olympics...

You just couldn't let a page go by without mentioning Toes could you?

Malkin picked up a goal and two assists, had five shots on goal and finished a plus-2 as he made his tournament debut along with fellow Penguins blueliner Sergei Gonchar.
Malkin skated on a line with the Detroit Red Wings Pavel Datsyuk and New Jersey’s Ilya Kovalchuk. The unit combined for 10 points on Sunday.

Sounds like Russia's icing the same team they had at the Olympics. Coincidence that they're all eliminated from the NHL post season?
Lets hope this tournament ends better for them.

Was a Flyers fan back when I was little (Clarke, Leach, Barber, Schultz, MacLeish). Man those guys were nuts. My best friend I've know since kindergarten is still a die-hard fan.

Habs played a great game last night - they needed to! Flyers played their worst game of the post-season so far but I'm not concerned. Leighton can't be blamed for this one - too many turnovers in our own zone. I was hoping for at least a split in MON and we still have that chance. It will be interesting to see what adjustments we make in Game 4. However, it looks like home ice is finally making a difference in an East conference series. This one could still go 7. GO FLYERS!

I was SO glad to see the Canadiens do so well last night-they finally solved the Flyers. Now let's see if they can keep that going in Game 4 and beyond.
Sorry Oswald, I'm not a Flyers fan.....

Well, let's see what the Sharks are made of tonight. If they lose this one, I doubt we'll have two 3-0 comeback-series in one year.

No offense taken. If we all rooted for the same team this forum wouldn't be half as interesting or entertaining!
I'm surprised that last night was the first real fight for Philly this playoffs.

Kings' Hardy arrested on sex abuse charge
From ESPN...
Prosecutors in Washington say they plan to raise the sex abuse charge against Los Angeles Kings assistant coach Mark Hardy to a felony.
D.C. police arrested Hardy on a charge of misdemeanor sex abuse.
The 51-year-old Hardy is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Friday in D.C. Superior Court. Details of the allegations were not immediately available and it was unclear which felony prosecutors would charge him with.
The Kings said in a statement after Hardy's arrest that they were aware of the charge and had no further comment.
Hardy played in the NHL for 15 years. He began his second stint as an assistant coach for the Kings in 2008.
