In another interview today he stood by those statements and again reiterated that he would not be re-signed.

Also said something about "he tells it like it is" and tries to be as honest as possible. Hope he wasn't expecting much in a trade.

Maybe it's some reverse psychology shit.. Motivate him before he gets traded?

Why not just say they're in discussions or it's being worked on.. Or it's being talked about amongst the organization. It's less then a month before the trade deadline. He could've held the comments back another few weeks..

Or maybe he knows he ain't worth much with or without making those comments. I'd be happy with a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Couldn't even watch the Leaf game tonight as I refuse to pay $6 a month for Leafs TV.

Ok, I'll settle for Kane for Antropov straight up.

Did I hear that right? That was the first time all season the B's have lost a game by more than 2 goals?

Yeah I know, they were up 2-1 going into the third and playing pretty well too. I can't believe they were booing Thornton, why?

Somebody better tell the Kings that it's not about winning.

I hate being a rebuild team on the playoff bubble.

Part of me says throw in the towel and build for a dominant next year....the other part of me says try for that 7 or 8 spot.

Deano is gonna have some tough decisions to make at the deadline.

I'm more that I sat Nabokov thinking the game would be back and forth.

And Kane to the Leafs? Sure...if Toronto wants to give up their 1st rounder for the next 10 years and empty their farm.

I would have done the same thing if I were you. Disappointed the Bruins only played a 40 minute game...but it was exciting non the less

I think this actually is the case.

The book is out on Antropov. He's a big body with good hands, but soft as a loaf of bread. He plays on the perimeter and doesn't use his size to go to the net. That being said, he could be effective when put in the right situation.

Here's hoping the Pens lay a proper beating on the Leafs tomorrow night. We're closing in on 28th.

No one is catching the Isles or Atlanta.

If they get into the bottom 3 I don't see why not.

And if GB knows what's good for him the Leafs get #1.

There's been some talk in the Toronto media recently about how Tavares should (not will) refuse to go to the Island if drafted. That franchise has nothing going for it and I doubt it will get better unless they move.

^ Yeah. I'm not a fan of this tactic. And the fact that he's adding a guy and then dropping him the next day makes it even more obvious of what's going on.

Its a bit shifty...we shouldn't 'need' to limit add/drops, its just common courtesy not to use that strategy
