Victory by design. They also have a player on payroll who works for the NHL player safety department. The league is sick of squandering top draft picks in Edmonton, McDavid's eating cheese steaks next year.

Here comes the yearly rash of injuries...
Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Kunitz has a fractured foot and will be out a couple of weeks, coach Mike Johnston said after a 1-0 win against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.
Johnston also said defenseman Kris Letang has been placed on injured reserve with a groin injury.
Kunitz, who did not play Tuesday, had nine goals and 11 assists in 23 games.
Letang, who missed his second straight game, had four goals and 14 assists in 22 games.
The Penguins also are without forward Pascal Dupuis, who is sidelined long-term with blood clots.
