Garbajosa's broken leg

Didn't catch the game, but I read it was gruesome sight.

Anyone see it? (Dom?) How bad did it look?

Didn't watch the game but saw the highlights. Actually turned away when it happened. I have a weak stomach for this sort of thing. I looked back when he was on the ground. your foot pointing in a different direction than your leg is never a good thing.

HUGE loss for the Raptors. This guy may not be a big name but he saw alot of minutes and was a very good defender. With Bargnani and now Garbo out, the Raps will have a hard time finishing the season at 500. Not that they were going deep into the playoffs, but this pretty much cements a first round loss at the hands of the Bulls IMO.

Hmm...I think I'm going to pass on searching this one out on youtube.

And ya dom I agree, this is a big loss especially considering Bargniani just went down.

Al looked back to see if he was alright, and saw that the leg was twisted in a way thats its not made to twist and immediately turned around. Not as bad as the Livingston incident but still gruesome.

All that from just trying to block a dunk

That was pretty nasty.

The helmet-through-leg compound fracture I saw in an NFL game was the worst I've ever seen. It was when I was a kid so I don't remember who it was, but I think he played for the 49ers.

I also have a nasty picture of an old Steelers player with a broken leg and dislocated ankle, but I won't post it unless someone wants me to...

Ya, I remember that one. It was about 8-10 years ago I believe.

OK, I just had to watch. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be.

Kinda odd how they covered his leg like it was a corpse or something "Nothing to see here folks".

Hopefully its nothing too serious, like a shattered bone that needs screws and plates, and hes back and healthy for next season.

Can never forget that.

And for some reason I have no problem watching that. Its the snapping and twisting of bones that get me.

I remember hearing someone talk about that but never actually saw it. Thanks for posting.

I just remember watching it live clear as ever and hearing the sound. Then everybody on the field started waiving for the medics...

His clite (sp?) got stuck in the mud and the players helmet hit him directly in the shin so he leg couldn't buckle. I had nightmares for weeks.

Sorry, had to laugh at clite

You mean cleat...and yes, the closeups they showed were nasty.

I'm really not bothered by stuff like that though, so it's not a big deal for me to watch it.

I don't know why but I couldn't remember the spelling of cleat.
