cocky maybe optimistic but not cocky. Maybe Damon will get a manicure before the game and the Red Sox will win.

Looking to the long term, the Yankees just lost Wang (their best starter these days) for what looks like a good stretch, Pavano is hurting and a few weeks from making a come back, Brown is a mess and Wright is out until next month at least. The future doesn't look good for them.

[hindsight]And bringing Schilling in last night was clearly a bad idea (way too early). [/hindsight]

As long as I've been a NY fan, Even I can see they have a VERY tough road ahead of them. And I just don't see them in the postseason this year. Not with the mess of a pitching staff they have. They have only 2 good starters now. They have a tough 2nd half. Mostly road games, & all tough teams.
I hate to say it. We can hope, but offence can only take you so far.

All so true but every team in the league is having similiar issues..Boston's staff aint that great right now, all they really have is Matt Clement even I can hit David Well's 70mph curve ball he throws 80% of the time. As stated earlier the Orioles are a non factor since they never really had a staff, Tejada can only take them so far. For our division it doesn't look to bleek as long as Schilling doesnt come around and another pitcher steps up for the Gay Sox. Yankees pitching should be ok by the mid-end of August just in time for their typical end of the year 20 game run.

Good game last night. Tough luck with Schill. He'll turn it around though.

I'll be there tonight heckling all the Yanks fans in the bleachers.

Are we just trying to be optimistic here? . Orioles are a very good team and they deserve credit for their work this season.

My prediction: The Os will finish ahead of the Yankees.

Jonesi, what's wrong with that pic ??

There's nothing wrong with playing a little grab ass with team members
