Baylor is favored by 15 but they've lost 15 of the last 16 meetings... Lol

Oregon and Oklahoma will win it tonight! Can't wait to see the game after work. Should be pretty entertaining.

As a Buckeye I hope Stanford wins. As for the other game I'd rather see Baylor win. I've never been a Stoops fan.
Sadly I agree with you all though, UO and OU will win tonight.

It is safe to say that Baylor is good. Maybe really good.
OU sucks. Although, we may have known that after Texas beat them.

Damn... what an ending to the Oregon/Stanford game. Would have been awesome if they would have recovered that last onside kick.
Looks like new rankings will be Bama 1, FSU 2, and dunno who will be 3 between OSU, Baylor and Stanford. I think Baylor deserves 3, OSU 4 and Stanford 5.

I see the math but if a 21-0 OSU squad doesn't get the natural move up to #3 I'll be pretty peeved.
Especially if it's Baylor. Sorry but OU didn't look like a #10 team to me.

OSU needs Michigan and Michigan State to continue winning. An FSU loss now or a FSU/Alabama loss in their respective championship games will push Ohio State into the Championship game.

I was reading this morning and ran across an irate Buckeye fan. This doesn't necessarily reflect my thoughts on the matter. I just thought it could spark some good discussion.
Let's review. Ohio State becomes the first top 3 BCS conference team to move backwards in the polls during the first few weeks of the season despite winning. It's never happened before. And it didn't happen just once - it happened twice.
SEC fans are asking for a tougher schedule? Funny, a sec team backed-out of their home-n-home with Ohio State which forced Ohio State to schedule Florida A&M for this season. After beating A&M 73-0, ESPN makes it a point to make OSU the new poster child for weak scheduling and beating up on FCS teams. The only problem is that SEC teams play one, many times two FCS teams EACH YEAR, and have been doing it for decades. Florida A&M was Ohio State's second FCS Opponent in 30 years!
SEC fan says Alabama deserves to be number one until they lose. "They're on top until someone knocks them off". Giving them credit for past seasons' accomplishments, yet the same fans won't give OSU any credit for winning 21 straight.
ESPN tells us that the SEC is all high and mighty, and that the Big10 is very very weak, yet nearly every time the two conferences have met on the field the last three years the games have been VERY competitive. Every Big10/SEC bowl game last January was competitive. Any thought otherwise is just disrespecting that game.
Texas A&M and Missouri won two Big12 conference championships in their last 21 years in the conference, yet seem to have moved into the upper-echelon of the "Toughest Conference in College Football". The last time Missouri played Ohio State they were clobbered. I know Alabama clobbered Notre Damein the title game, but OSU clobbered them the last two times they played them too.
OSU has the best OL in the land...kinda reminds me of bama OL last season. OSU also has a QB that reminds me of Johnny Football... you know that one that ran buck-wild in the last two games against Alabama.
OSU split their last two bowl games with SEC teams - both games were competitive.
OSU won last weekend 56-0, and they lost ground in the BCS standings. A&M played UTEP and moved up. Other teams in the conference were busy playing teams like Alabama State. That wasn't a joke.
How do you get everyone to ignore all this stuff and quiet Buckeye fans... you have ESPN go ON and ON every weekend about how all this "will work itself out".... suuuure it will.
Other tidbits.
The Big10 has three teams in the top ten in defense. And four in the top 13.
Carlos Hyde hasn't been tackled for a loss all season. NOT ONCE! Ohio State is the only team in the country that hasn't allowed a 20 yard run. OSU RB's are averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Ohio State led 42-0 last week at halftime, and 42-7 at halftime the week before.
Don't tell Big10 teams that they need to play more ranked teams when you won't rank our teams to begin with. ESPN molds opinions and influences voters and then talks about how many ranked teams you've played. Sounds like a Washington lobbyist to me. What does ESPN benefit from over-hyping the SEC and under-rating the Big10 - MONEY! What was the contract, 20 billion?

I agree. Baylor won't jump Ohio State, but don't be surprised if Stanford is right on OSU's ass in the polls.

Chad, in response to your irate rambler, A&M lost a lot of ground after UTEP, not the other way around. The computers bumped them from 12 to 21 after a 3 quarter, 50 point whipping. That's why I said they went full retard.
I can't comment on a lot of the rest of his rant, but that part was completely wrong. I can kind of comment on A&M and Mizzou going from Big12 to SEC and doing well. Mizzou has been ranked top ten in the past 4 years, and A&M has a whole new coach and system. Kevin Sumlin is a force to be reckoned with. We would have dominated the Big12 last year as proven through the Cotton Bowl. Unfortunately, he has beef with the AD, so it won't be a huge surprise to see him and JFF leave after this year.

Yea I didn't check any of those facts. I just thought the post was funny.
And, admittedly, is how most Buckeye fans feel around here.

So will a four team playoff please the masses?

Anything less than 8 teams is worthless. Take any single year and you have more than 4 teams that have 1 loss. Rarely do you get just two undefeated. So you either have one or three undefeated, a selection of 1 loss teams, and the rest get the shaft.
What other sport in the world has a 2 game playoff?

BCS is POS system either way.
But the small playoff is better than nothing.
I'll take it.

LSU just can't handle Bama. Not even close.
FSU/Missouri/Auburn all look great.

Was it really not even close (I didn't get to watch)? The box score suggested it was a good game through 3 quarters.

Well, I was glad to see y'all couldn't put up more than 43 yards rushing.
Not that our secondary is very good, but it gives me some hope for two weeks.
Just realized y'all have a bye too.

Watched the latter half of that game. Bama was clearly a better football team.
So, FSU will win out and reach the title game. Bama has Auburn at the end.
It's going to be interesting!

The Dumb One

still not impressive considering how easily we run on most teams.
turning the ball over on the 1 yard line in the first half and Alabama's fake punt for a touchdown were two plays that sealed the deal.
our team/coaches do not do well with coming from behind. once its two touchdowns or more, they just lay down and die.

Great game on Saturday night, Pitt out played ND and got the win. I think Pitt is a better team than their record reflects, but either way, it was an awesome game and a fun one to be at.

FSU is definitely very good this year. The qb is really.. really good. He's kinda like Johnny football in a suit.
Anyway, I can't wait to watch this week's game. I can smell the upset! Beat Stanford!
Who cares if we have under 50 scholarship players to play. LOL I'm surprised that we are even bowl eligible this year. I was prepared to see the worst record in the history of our program but turned out to be a lot better than that.
Kiffin's gone. That's all I wanted this year.

Missouri was beaten by South Carolina, they are overrated, and will lose to Texas A&M.
Fsu will win out and go to the national championship.
Lastly, Ohio state (who we hate here in the Southeast) has not played anybody all year in the top 10.
Suprise, Va. tech will play FSU in the ACC championship after VT smoked Miami.

I agree FSU will win out and will go to the NCG. I'm not at all sold by the ACC though.
Auburn could give Alabama trouble. Doubtful but could happen.
Although the media says otherwise I firmly believe if Alabama or FSU loses that OSU will NOT be jumped by a one loss Stanford or a undefeated Baylor team. Especially if MSU keeps winning and we beat them in the B1G championship game. They *could* be top 10 by then and Wisconsin *could* be top 15. We'll see.
However I, for one, am completely and utterly sick and tired of this SOS crap. I don't care if you're getting screwed or being given a gift, it's such a dumb argument.
