Meh... It's an unnecessary rule, but the commentators said the coaches requested it so...
I want to know what happens if the player taunts in the back of the end zone? Technically the play would be over when he crossed the goal line, and even if they did enforce it, they would have to take 15 yds from where his feet were. So, put the ball on the 6-7 yard line?

its 15 yards from the spot of the foul with a live ball..
if its after the play is blown dead.. (in the endzone) its 15 yards on the kickoff..
if he had waited till he crossed the goal line, the touchdown would have counted.

Well USCe dismissed QB Stephen Garcia for flunking an alcohol and maryjane tests. He had been reinstated 5 times for a number of crazy things, but after backup QB Connor Shaw put up 600 yards on Kentucky, it was an easy call to throw Garcia under the bus.

Boooooooooooooooooom!
auburn university has received a letter from the ncaa enforcement staff stating the ncaa has concluded its investigation, and no major rules violations were found.
"after conducting more than 80 interviews, the ncaa has concluded its investigation into auburn university," the ncaa said in a statement. "the ncaa enforcement staff is committed to a fair and thorough investigative process. As such, any allegations of major rules violations must meet a burden of proof, which is a higher standard than rampant public speculation online and in the media. The allegations must be based on credible and persuasive information and includes a good-faith belief that the committee on infractions could make a finding. As with any case, should the enforcement staff become aware of additional credible information, it will review the information to determine whether further investigation is warranted."
auburn athletics director jay jacobs said, "we appreciate the ncaa and thank them for their professionalism and thoroughness during this exhaustive investigation. We are pleased to put this matter behind us.”

Well Lattimore (USCe) took a MRI in the fourth today and I took one yesterday... I guess we'll retire to those "could-be" players of the future.

Just curious, what do you guys think about Stanford going against SEC opponents? Oregon was tested couple times and failed miserably. Just curious how Stanford would fair with the elite teams.

IMO, even now with Luck, Stanford would probably lose. If it was against a LSU or Bama, they would lose. If it was vs an Arkansas or SC it would be a toss up.
Without luck, the would get rolled by most of the teams.
I think the standings are just fine. Everybody is saying Wisconsin got screwed, well, they haven't played anybody yet...
Plus, 2 in the top 4 will drop out anyways. LSU vs Bama and OU vs OSU. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if OU and OSU lost another game besides the bedlam game...

Only a playoff would be fair IMO as it wouldn't be a one-off game situation.

Runs on Dunkin
My Bearcats are looking much better this season, now at 5-1. It was also nice to OSU get a much-needed win against Illinois, though I fear Wisconsin will run right through them as they stand now.
