2004/2005 NBA Season

Instead of having NBA threads, let's have a sticky similiar to the 2004/2005 NFL sticky. That way, all the LA Fakers haters can have one place to flame.

damn the nuggs... not only do they have a poor showing (and Barkley saying how overrrated we are), but we lost Voshon Lenard for a while. With no real shooter coming off the bench, this is gonna be messy. THIS is exactly the reason why I wanted to sign Brent Barry or at least Jon Barry back.

I will reiterate the point again: The Fakers will NOT make the playoffs this year... period.

On that note, I hope Shaq is a go for tonight.

Junkster, who wants to see how Miami pans out.

Man i saw that game last night and was thoroughly disappointed in their play, especially in the 2nd quarter when they were jacking up "Scuds" left and right. When Rodney White came in, he started throwing up garbage shots immediately. The Nuggets are going to be in serious trouble if he's taking Lenard's spot in the lineup. I know that it was just the first game of the season and they will get better.

He's thinking about how lame his career has become.

He sucks. His career is all about hype. He isnt even that good of a player, nor a great team player. I didnt even like him when he was at UNC.

This is the year the Baby Bulls finally grow up!!
I am interested to see how the Bulls' rooks do, and if Eddy Curry finally starts playing good ball.

All in all, I don't see anyone stopping Detroit in the east. The Pacers may win the regular season, but the Detriot D is gonna clamp down hard in the playoffs. The west is wide open, and I see the Timbs winning the reg season, but the Spurs advancing to the finals.

Miami is OVERRATED.. they'll be a 5th/6th team in the east.
Lakers... 7 or 8 seed in the West.

Its a little early to be making these predictions

Can't remember what list it was (maybe SI?) but Vince was rankwed 41st in the NBA. Still too high IMO.

But whats he thinking about? He was just ordered to pay his former agent 4.7 million in a settlement so like usual he's not thinking about driving to the basket

He's demanded a trade so he'll be someone else's problem very soon.

Deeeee!!! Troit!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bas!!!!~~~ Ket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ball!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~
+ Derrick Coleman + Antonio McDyess = Unbeatable Team for at least next two years.
PG. Chauncy Billups ( Marbury + Payton )
SG. Richard Hamilton ( This guy can shoot mid-range!!Jordan taught him well)
SF. Tayshaun Prince ( My favorite!! did you see that block on Reggie Miller!! Damn!!!)
PF. Rasheeeeeeeeed!~~~ ( He deserves more than one ring )
C. Ben Wallace Gong!~~ ( We can expect 10ppg, 15 rebounds, 5 blocks per game from this beast )
Antonio is getting back in shape, DC will do his thing and DC is Larry Brown's favorite player...so....
2005 NBA Champion!! The Bad Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll bet my Injen Intake on this one. Anybody want to bet with me?

hehe... that was such a confusing post...

Billups is Marbury plus Payton... streaky shooter like Starbury and just as fast as GP.
Rip is good, I can't take that away.
Prince is looking like a true SF to recken with.
Sheed is one of the best team players I've seen in years.
Big Ben looks like he's shedding his one dimensional game... is this good or bad?

McDyess is a gamble (although if the Lions needed a new punter...) and DC is a headcase...I think Big Nasty was better then both combined.

NBA champs repeat? I give them 1 to 5 odds.

Junkster, who thinks the pacers, Spurs and Wolves are lookin good

At this point I can't disagree. Then again they've only played one game.

But the peices are definently there, we'll just see what Shaq has to say about it.

on both counts. He is ranked too high and he will probably be traded before the trade deadline. I hope he goes somewhere where he has no chance of winning anything. Like for instance Boston.

They already lost the All-Star game. Too bad, I really wanted to see the NHL season. I guess I wont be going to my usual games this year.

There's always minor league and collegiate hockey. I've already been to a few youth games and a Colorado College hockey game and I'm not missing the NHL at all. Then again, i'm not Canadian either.

I cheered for the Knicks in '99. I loved that team... LJ, Spree, Houston, Camby. I'll never forget the 3 LJ knocked down in the closing secs of a playoff game vs. the Pacers. THe knicks were down by three and LJ hit a 3-pointer and got the foul. MSG went nuts.
I believe they were the first #8 team in the east to upset a #1 seed.

Yeah, they beat the 1st seed, 2nd, and 4th. (If my memory serves me correct).

However, the Allan Houston's lucky drop was the best during the 99 run.

*Sigh* "Memories" indeed.
