it is definitely going to be a test for Manning. Isn't it supposed to be really cold in Foxborough this weekend? I read a thing that statistically Manning did better in indoor stadiums, it wasn't a glaring stat, just an observation.

I'm listening to ESPN radio and they're talking about how the Patriots not covering the field with tarps or prepping it at all.. Should be nice and frozen and muddy and cold for Manning.. Ideal conditions for a Indoor QB..

Acutally, it was a 48 yard field goal and he would have tied the score instead of the Patriots winning 27-24.

Weather.com is calling for a high that day of 31-32F. The local news has been calling around 25F at game time so it'll be a little chilly. They also said some flurries are possible, but nothing significant.

Wow...There goes Indy's air attack. The poorer the weather, the more it plays to the Pats favor. But, you all knew that one already.

The thing I wonder about the dome team is, with the players coming from universities from different states, why all of sudden they can't play outdoors when it's cold? I mean, I know Peyton's from the south, but I bet half of their players came from cold states, so what gives?

It's just under Indoors it's obviously a better condition for a high scoring game.. You put a Indoor QB out there in wind and cold weather or a RB with wet or high grass and you get some good results for slowing down a high pace offense..

Kinda like how the Rams offense worked too even back in their Superbowl days...Correct if I'm wrong, but they were never that scary on offense in outdoor/wintery games...?

It's interesting to see how weather affects a team that plays in different climates... This weekend's games are going to be interesting... Is it supposed to be cold out for Pit/NE/Philly games?

Well with Marshall Faulk and the play action passes and everything they still had a decent game outdoors.. But they defintley liked the indoors and nice West coast weather...

The way I see it, its all about the rhythm and timing the quarterbacks develop with their receivers. You throw variables like weather into it and real grass, it throws that rhythm off.

The Rams offense was built around a quarterback (warner) that came from playing indoor football before he played in the NFL. He had more trouble coping with the outdoors than peyton does, especially with the type of offense they ran where Warner relied on the speed of his receivers to get open, whereas Manning is simply good at finding the open receiver on any given play.

Dude...Typically poor field conditions favor the receivers. With that in mind, the Colt's blow em out.
