Much appreciation in advance.

I called Acura of Bellevue and they want to charge me $110. The search begins. Anyone know if I can get a hold of the person that made that reference list?

I just didn't want to flood your inbox. I sent it from home and I am at work, so I am not sure what email I sent it to.

Hey Pete,
I sent you an email yesterday with a few questions. Just hoping you got it. Some people have been telling me that my emails haven't been going through so I'm just following up.
If not, let me know and I'll resend it.
Thanks!

I need to order another key.
Acura wanted to charge me $40 Dollars JUST to get it cut.
Went to home depot, cut it, and it didn't work. They cut it for free. : )
Eh, try try again.

Unbelievable
I got my key and went by the Acura dealership (David McDavid in Plano, TX) where I got my 07 TSX less than a month ago, and they wanted $100 to program the immobilizer, the rest they would do for "free". A $100! for 5 minutes of work! Give me a #@#$@#$ break!
I am around Dallas, anyone else got this done someplace near by, I am NOT paying $100 for this! $50 maybe. Hell I just got the car, you would think they would do it for free to make sure I was happy, customer service is DEAD in this country.
Thanx,
Roy

Does anyone remember the prices on these keys?? I searched for the original thread but it seems to be gone. I did find a link to it posted in another thread but when I click on it, it says that the link is invalid.
I want to buy one of these keys but can't seem to find out any of the info that was in the original thread.

Hi everybody!!!!
Sorry if I haven't answered everyones PM's and posts.
I'm cutting keys on Saturdays and Sundays... well I'm having a beer so too bad.
If anyone here is interested in getting a key, asking a question, needs support, etc.
please email me at:
kratschp@yahoo.com
Please be patient. This is strictly a side job for me so emails and stuff get taken care of in the evening after my regular work day ends. Sometimes I have to work late and sometimes I even get tired and biotchy and cranky and sometimes.... I even get to see my wife and kids. I will take care of you though so if you keep that in mind... it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pete
ps. I'm tired now so I'll answer the above questions tomorrow.

Answering questions
This key will work on a TSX. I was going to be the first 07 TSX to try it, but the dealerships is pissing me off. It should work though.
The car will hold up to 4 remotes if I remember previous posts. For some strange reason you have to do the remotes in a certain order though. Many people have 3 remotes programmed into their car, so it can be done.

Hi Pete,
I have a question.
Firstly I got my key. much thanks.
You're Welcome.
Secondly, i was reading the remote.pdf file.
Does programming the remote happen only after you cut the key?
No. You can program it any time you like.
also, are we using the switchblade key to turn the ignition to on (II) ?
Any functional key will work.
then it says press lock or unlock on transmitter and aim it at the keyless receiver unit on driver's side door. but how do we do that when the switchblade key is in ignition?
You don't need to aim it anywhere. I just copied the instructions from Acura.
Get your key cut and the immobilizer chip programmed as well as any other keys that you have (up to 4 keys).
Take one of your keys (I use one of my original keys that's not on a key chain because it's easier to handle) and put it in the ignition.
Take one of the remotes (I again use one of the originals) and have the other two within easy reach.
Now go through the programming cycle (make a decision on which button you want to press, I use the unlock button, and always press that button).
#1 Turn the key to ON (Position II) count 1 - 2 and then press unlock on the remote.
#2 Turn the key OFF and then ON count 1 - 2 and press unlock on the remote.
#3 Turn the key OFF and then ON count 1 - 2 and press unlock on the remote.
#4 Turn the key OFF and then ON count 1 - 2 and press unlock on the remote.
On the 4th press you'll hear the door lock activate.
Immediately pick up one of the additional remotes and press unlock.
If you have another remote (or switchblade key) pick it up and press unlock.
Now turn off the key and pick up the original remote. Press unlock one more time.
Test all the of remotes.
SMILE!!!! IT'S PROGRAMMED!!!!
or
Say SH%t!!!!! and start over.
Am i missing something here?
No need to ask that question... obviously you are
That should get you programmed.

Pissed Off!
The dealership around me are a$$h0l3s! I am NOT willing to pay $100 to get the key set against my car.
Really wish there was someway to get this done without going to an Acura dealership.
I WILL NEVER buy another Acura in my life. They treat me like crap every time I call or go in there. Really wish I had gotten the IS250.
I am willing to sell my key to someone who wants it. First come first serve. Same price as I paid for it.

My dealership quoted me $95.00 to cut and program both of these amazing keys !!!
Pete - They were really impressed by your work.
So impressed that they are going to "work out a deal" on the $95.00 so I will be paying less than quoted.
Call me crazy BUT I would rather pay more to get this done by the dealer than to pay less and have it done by some hack that will screw it up.
My TL is spending the night at the dealer so I'll let you know the final outcome tomorrow.

Successful Cut and Programming in San Antonio Texas.
Access Key Service (Thomas Holstein) - 210-829-5397 - $65
Came to my apartment, cut a regular key to prove that his numeric values for the key were correct. Works great! Use this guy.
