I have a question, i always wanted to replace my HID bulbs, i wanted my dealer to do it but they are not willing to. They told me that HID kits are tooo expensive to replace and they say that they did it a few times and it burnt the ballast. Is it because the brand of the bulb!!

No the HID kits include bulbs, ballast, ignitor, etc. It is a plug and play kit. They are $305 shipped and 3% for Paypal fees.

6000k is extreme white w/ blueish tint, 6500k is extreme white w/ violet tint.

You wouldn't need an HID kit b/c you have HID's from the factory. You would just need HID upgrade bulbs. It won't burn out the ballast. Maybe it had to do with a cheap brand drawing too much voltage or having too much wattage. I have never had any issues like that with KAIXEN.

What car do you have? I know that at least in the case of the TSX (and probably 3G TL) the high beams are a seperate bulb from the HIDs.

I need to know what bulbs you need. If you order those let me know what bulb it has. It probably is a 9006 bulb.

Well the HID kits are set up according to what bulb type you have. TSX fog lights are H11 I believe. 05 Civic is 9006. I don't know what the X5 is. I'll have to check but you would need to buy kits for what bulb type you have.

$385 shipped I would mount it somewhere behind the fog light kit and on the bumper support.

I am interested in the 6500k due to the purple hue it gives off. However, I was wondering if anyone from the 3rd GEN TL has them. If so, do they really give off a purple hue? Any pics of a 3rd gen would be cool to see before deciding.

Is $150 including shipping for Canada??

It's an extra $10 to Canada. They are extreme white w/ a hint of purple.

I have the McCulloch 6000k HID kit in my fog lights in my 06 TL.
I want the stock HID to match the fog lights. They seem to be very yellow compared to the aftermarket HIDs.

Since the main headlights have the projector cover over the headlights what bulb would be a pretty close match? I don't mind it if it's a tad bit brighter.

Also would I have to get the Kit or would just replacement bulbs work?

Thanks

You should get the 6000k D2C bulbs. Those are $150 shipped and $5 for Paypal fees

Hey. I have an '03' TL... and one of my stock HID's went out the other day... Time to upgrade! I'm interested in some 6000k D2R's. Is the swap hard to do? Or is it just a matter of taking out the old bulbs and putting in the new ones? Do you have any of the 6000k's in stock?

I need to replace these worn out OEM ones...

Goto ImageShack to host the pictures. All you need to do is upload your picture from your computer. Once it is uploaded, you will see the picture. Then you just need to copy the link and paste it onto the acurazine reply. Make sure you copy the correct link tho. You can do a trial with clicking preview post to see if it works. Hope this helps. If not, you can email me the pictures and I will be happy to post the pic for you.

Was it a replacement HID bulb or a bulb from an HID kit? PM me with more specifics including your name and when you purchased. KAIXEN has a one year warranty and will replace any bulb that was defective.

Excelerate,
Do you know why Kaixen does not produce HID kit with 4300K?
I am looking to get one set for my Honda Accord.
